Two years ago today I had my surgery ~ and I walked out of the hospital on Thanksgiving. It has been a fairly uneventful ride. I have had the great good fortune to have had little or no negative side effects and was able to ditch the heart pills and cholesterol pills along with the 100 or so pounds! It's all good!

Congratulations on a successful wls journey. We all talk about the weight loss a lot but the return of good health is so much more important. I agree with you it's all good. Best wishes for your continued success.

Congrtaulations!! I guess we all have something to be thankful for this year..... last year was my first Turkey Day feast as a WLS person... this is my 2nd and my journey has been fairly uneventful too... I too dumped all kinds of obesity related pills, and have lost 171 lbs!! This time last year, I wouldn't have believed that it was going to happen to me.... that I would be in a size 14 jeans... after shedding those elasticized size 28's..... This year,Turkey Day will start with a 5k Fun Run at a local park, then on to sharing a meal at my home with my family.... It's enough!!! Have a wonderful holiday season.... Congrats again!! Laurie - minus 171 lbs!!

The desire for good health is what got us into this in the first place and you are so correct! I went with my youngest son to Niagara Falls and THIS time was able to make it to the top of Clifton Hill ahead of HIM! And that hill is hard work, let me tell you. The first time I tried it, I was still MO and had to sit on a bench and wait for them to come back down. Yall have a healthy and wonderful holiday because you bet - we have so much to be thankful for!
