Well today is my one year anniversary . I am so happy I did this, even with the few problems I have had, I would have done this over again and again. I have lost a whole person. I am now down to 152 from a high of 305.5. Anyhow I just wanted to pop in and say hi to all the other grads lol. Take care KatherineL

Congratulation on this day. Remember that being a grad is not defined by a date on the calendar, but by a perceptible change in perspective. Seldom will you find here the frantic rantings that occur so frequently on the Main Board. Maybe it's a zen thing! Some people will never be grads, no matter how far post-op they get; others achieve grad-state long before the nominal one-year mile marker. Read the posts already here. If you resonate with what you read, "You must be grad!" Nowhereman/PH/Jay

As I said, some people become grads very quickly and others function like WLS pre-adolescents forever. The one-year thing is more advisory than mandatory in my opinion. I know that a lot of folks lurk here because it is rather different from the MB. NowhereMan/PH/Jay

Welcome, welcome! I love this forum. It is a different point of view being a grad. People here are very generous in sharing their triumphs and struggles and will give you honest feed-back. You've done so well - congratulations! Your WLS pal, Bette (A spotty contributor - in the midst of changing computers - Hello Brand New iMac! as soon as I get my nerve up!)
