Advice? and Tek is too funny!

i love you too DX. You are one of the few that seem to "know" me. I am not that mean in person. Actually people say I am very compassionate and loving : But i always speak what I think and that is a turn-off for most people. I am honest to a fault. i have kind of laid off things here lately because i have A brand new 1.7 pound Yorkie and I stay on the YorkieTalk board most of the time. Altho I will never forget where I came from that part of my life is done and it's time for new things. i sometimes find myself very bored on this site. Mainly the main board. Same O Same O.

Delores--I seem to have that honest to a fault gene as well. There are good and bad parts to it. It is the same O same O isn't it?

Thanks for the kind (?) words. I get frustrated with the main board also. My posts are now being removed left and right, with no explanation. If you disagree, you are flaming. If you disagree well enough, you are cruel and a bully. In spite of being called all sorts of things, I have never insulted anyone in any way except for posting opposing opinions. I understand that people are pretty attached to their opinions, and when you attack their opinion they take it as a personal attack. Personally, I am torn between becoming what they are accusing me of or simply quietly withdrawing. Probably I will do a little of both. While this is continually being framed as a "newbie vs Old-Azz" issue, it really isn't. Sadly, if I say what it is really about, this post will be removed. Suffice it to say, ignorance is bliss and bliss is abundant out there. Change is difficult. Unfortunately, this type of post, that "I have the answers" and "I have it figured out" sound terribly arrogant. So, the choice is to say it and be labeled, or not say it and fit in, or couch it in so much a@@-kissing that the point is lost. "BUFFET" Tek

Tek, Removing your posts mysteriously? Hey, Just because you're paranoid, Doesn't mean they're not out to getcha! I also don't think it is a Newbie - Old-Postie issue. It's about not wanting to hear the "bottom-line." And also, not wanting to give it, Because it is seems So- "Now Hear This", I decree........______ to be THE Truth!" Somebody has to say it like it is DX. You can take the heat so just keep on doing what you've been doing. We might both do well with a bit more tact though. When I see a post that infuriates me I fire off a reply, then reread it and often delete it because I know they don't want the honest truth. It makes me sad though to think that they've gone through major surgery just to keep on doing what they've always done. If we don't change our eating habits and follow the rules we are going to end up where we started. The successful people follow the rules and form new habits along the way. Have a good day!

Pat, All of this does have one new twist. In the past, The same old issues, clashes, presumptions, etc... Would Re-cycle again and again, And if we were interested in still coming to AMOS We would just - Roll our eyes, Sigh a little, And come back again to the same ole, same ole.... But with the site's resent creation of these extra forums Which actually pertain to more than shared hobbies, There's No Real Reason to go back out and Mingle with a whole New crowd of Strangers, When there are bunches of Old Pals all in one locale, Away from those who are not the least bit interested in Taking charge of their new lives, And who treat WLS as just another fad Diet! (And that said in one big breath!) (Yes, I live in Faulkner's home town. ) (How else could I stretch one sentence so far past the breaking point) There is really no compulsion other than the Impetus to be of help, That drags us back out into the Main Traffic. This, I think, Is a whole new can of worms. The Unraveling of the Boards? The Segregation of AMOS? I find myself wondering Why Not? I can still hit the support pages And be helpful behind the scenes. This may be my new approach to this whole thing. I am with Tek though in that Some times I would like to just shake this site, And Shake it till all of the dead parts fall off!
