OT. missing my son. long ramble

Sabrina, from what my son told me, he will be going to Fort Knox..and that is about 3 hours from me! I have no idea where he will go from there. The funny thing is, my brother was in the Army and went to tank school in Fort Knox. I went and saw that movie JarHead. I thought it was going to make me cry, did not know what to expect. The movie was pretty good and made me feel even more proud of my son and all military people. I found a really good BB and chat with other parents of marines at boot camp. its called marineparents. this is still all so new to me since he did not talk to us much about the marines. I do have a question though. can he buy himself a phone card or should I send him one? Thanks so much Donna

Hey there! my email is [email protected] to be honest there is no point for him to have a calling card at paris island. Graduation is really cool. You will be so proud. I think his will be indoors due to weather. Ours was outside and man o man it was HOT! Family day the day before is cool. they can not leave base but just the visit and seeing them is so cool. My husband will be home in 1.5 weeks. That is also going to be odd! Your son is an awesome person.

I GOT A LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is still breathing and able to write!!! lol. he said he is doing his best and that he even misses his sister. He complained about the cold, guess I should not have written him about the record high we had here in western KY, 80 degrees yesterday!! I have no idea when I will get another letter but I feel so much better and I am actually in the mood to celebrate Thanksgiving! I was not sure if I was even going to do this. Time to go to Wal-Mart!!! Take care everyone! Donna
