Long Term Post Op Support
Thanks for your reply Debbie.
Sounds like you have found nice support that works for you (and your husband). I hope that you continue to find the support from your current setting as you become a longer term post op. In my case, the support available would have been appropriate at 1.5 years...it was after this "honeymoon period" that the support needs became vastly different.
Best of health to you.
Karen
Karen,
I have had your thoughts since I was pre-op. I seen what you seen....I have even found out that even though they have done this type of surgery for many years no one really has data on people further out. I guess the blend...or is it the medical community made them blend? There are lots of questions and concerns I have about being further out because as I have said this is the hardest part of the surgery! You can eat....no problem.....drink.... no problem...and gain....no problem. But the last is a problem! I don't want to gain and I need to know how I can keep that from happening.
I wish you luck in your quest! Have a great day!
Debbie
Having the awareness that you are in control and not your "tool" is in my estimation 99.9% of the battle! Knowing that the choices you make, the portions you eat and your commitment to long term health will keep this from happening. If you would like, I can share the things that I have incorportated into my lifestyle...they may or may not work for you, and you are free to take 'em or leave 'em! Reply to this post if you would like me to send you my "stuff" (I'll email it to you vs. a long post within this trail).
You have the mindset, you know the reality, you will be successful!
Karen
Karen - I too would like to receive your "stuff" by email. Please send it to [email protected].
Thanks so much, and good luck to you!
