ready for hernia surgery! again

Happy halloween! I went to my surgeon today! we talked about my bloodwork, its all good but my iron reserves are still a little low so he wants me to continue taking the iron pills. any recamendations on which one is best! we also discussed fixing my very large hernia that is just below my sternum! its actually gotten bigger in the last three months and at times I look almost pregnant! this hernia is along the surgery scar and actually goes up past the sternum so the surgeon will have his work cut out for him. He will have to trim some of that little soft bone at the bottom of the sternum. it sticks out and you can see it poking out. looks odd. He will have to insert a mest up under part of my ribs to fix this hernia. then he is going to do a TT plus he will go further down the surgery line and align the ventral hernia scar from April. I will be cut from sternum to the pubic bone!!! I know this will not be an easy surgery but it needs to be done. my lower belly looks so much different them my upper belly and finally they will match BUT I still wont have a belly button and I dont want him to make me one either. My insurance will pay for this too, i was told that it would pay for the TT after 18 months, a 100 pound or more loss and keeping a steady weight. well I lost about 130 pounds! its just past 18 months and I have been at 150 since early july! guess its time. I hope my insurance holds up its part of the bargan, I will call them next week to see how things are going, I need this over and done with before my son graduates from Marine boot camp in April. I will not be able to drive for 6 weeks after the surgery! kind of hard to get 700 miles away without driving!! lol Donna 277/150ish
