Protein Question
OK .. here goes .. I preach at my support group meetings to the pre-ops and newly post ops about the importance of protien .. we all know ya gotta have it ..
My question tonight is this .. Each time I go back for my visits my NP always says my protien levels are excellent . I get in 120 grams a day .. sometimes only 100 .
I know that further out we absorb more .
I go back for my 18 month check up next month so I will ask again .. but I wanted to know from the GRADS .. do you still keep your protein levels up as high as 100 or better ??
I am not loosing anymore - Thank goodness .. total gone is 180 .. I reached a size 4 .. loving it .. I just need to make sure I am on track for maintence .
Hugs to you all !!

I have stopped keeping up with protein count..I am usually able to eat pretty much normally now..just smaller amounts at a time and not the junk like before RNY...my bw is always normal except I have had a continual problem with my liver enzymes being elevated??? hmm i know this can be due to just about anything as everything passes through the liver ! im not too worried ...its not always elevated.just sometimes..
I do know that when i have had a bad day of eatting or rather not feeling like I ate enough for a day I will supplement with nectar protein..THE ONLY protein i have ever been able to stand !
congrats to you for accomplishments!! i too am size 4/6 ( a little snug as I have gained 8 pounds over the summer. but i was under goal so this doesnt bother me in fact, i feel healthier !
NOW, i just need to get on the work out band wagon
in fact, i feel healthier !
