Hey Kim--Was your Dad one of the "knuckleheads' that didn't evacuate? Key West is way worse than the other places. That's great you were able to talk to him. It is so hard not to be able to reach people when even the cells don't work. They have massive flooding in addition to all the wind damage.

My niece lives in West Palm beach. We are going to get her ( she is 18 and in college) and is freaking out since this is her first real hurricane she lived in Pa all her life . She called crying to come get her last night . NO power , phones are not working all the time. Since I am the nearest relative (4 hour drive) We are going to get her but we can not leave till Sat so she will have to rough it till then. She cant drive up here since they have NO gas.
