Have you tried it? I am sooo addicted to it. I buy medium to small so half is one cup or less....and here's how I make it. Cut in half and scoop out seeds. Place cut side down in baking dish add about a quarter inch of water. Microwave about 10 minutes. While squash is cooking...mix together... 1 small cooking apple peeled cored and diced a few raisins...maybe a tablespoon a few chopped pecans....maybe a tablespoon sprinkle with 1 pkg Splenda sprinkle with a little cinnmaon add about 1 tablepoon SF maple syrup mix well turn squash over and divide the apple mix between the two halves....continue to microwave uncovered for 5 -7 minutes or until squash is transulsent all the way through. Its less than 100 calories.....good vitamins and fiber and just tastes incredible. I have one half for lunch...then a protein shake later because all I have is the squa****s like a dessert. So it has some carbs.....they are GOOD carbs. This is one of those things I didn't really care for before WLS.....but now I can't get enough. I have it twice a week...2 days for lunch. Have a half wrapped in fridge right now waiting for tomorrow....IF Doug doesn't find it. If you've never tried it...look for the green round squash and give it a whirl....its as good as any sweet treat.... Hugs Charlie

Margo...give this a try. Its really good....with the apple and raisins and cinnamon...you can't tell its not 'slathered' hehe. I also add some SF maple syrup made with Splenda...more for flavor than anything. It doesn't need brown sugar either. I just finished my other half...its such a treat. Hugs Charlie

Hey Charlie, how did you do with the hurricane? Any damage or power outages your way? Did you have to evacuate? Thinking of you with the snowflakes flying today.

Since Charlie doesn't visit here often and doesn't get the email notifications--I'll answer and tell her you asked and to visit here. She lost power for a really short time and had no major problems. The storm was significantly south of her.

Hey Charlie, The mere thought of "squash" gives me the eabie-jeabies... but your recipe sounds devine. Promise me, if we ever meet in live-space, you'll bring me some, cuz I aint no cook LOL I swear, following recipes almost gives me the hives! Wendy
