Joann--Sorry things have not been going well lately. I hate it when things just seem to pile up. Re--your co-workers--F' em! I'm a believer in live and let live and I know you are too. Why people have to compare themselves to others--I really don't know. BTW--You look wonderful and have been a tremendous success. Doesn't matter what size you are. Hmm-the weather--I always hated this time of year up there. Just the thought of what was ahead would send me into a deep depression. It looks like you have a cold week ahead. Try and stay warm. Maybe some good old fashion tanning will cheer you up. Hey--after this hurricane passes by we're gonna get some cold front and we have highs of 75 on Tuesday and Wednesday! That's been our lows until last week! I finally had my doors all opened up. My favorite thing down here. I really hope things improve for you. Looking forward to getting together again soon.

you look fantastic, and ya know her habits will catch up with her. the pepsi is sucking the calcium out of her bones as we speak. the mean ass side of me would want to ( but not really do it) say to her how old she is looking lately

4 pepsis and 4 protein shakes?? Wow! She really changed her habits, huh? Co-workers can suck! At least you have a freakin brain! Erica

I just heard yesterday about a former colleague who had the surgery about a year before me and was doing so well. I heard that she is gaining all her weight back and is already well on her way to doing so!! This is my biggest fear!!! I just feel sorry for your co-workers and for you if you're making poor choices lately as well as you said, because I'm afraid I may be right behind you!! It's a constant battle and I agree that it's no competition. We should ALL be there for one another and encourage one another! So, Joann, you can do it!! Go back to the basics and show your co-workers how it's done!!! That would be the sweetest thing!!! Jan

That is certainly not healthy to live on protein shakes and pepsi. Long ago, I did the liquid diet thing for ONE ENTIRE YEAR. I went every week to a doctor 30 miles away. When I started eating regular food again, guess what happened --- I had never learned to eat right so I reverted to my old eating habits faster than a speeding bullet. I too had been eating badly for two weeks. My kids had surgery, and I reverted to the old habits. I started beating myself up about it and was really depressed. Then my best friend said to me: Cut yourself some slack. You're only human. Just make tomorrow a fresh start. I know you can do it. I did just that, and calmed down about it, and got back on the program and lost the weight I gained and a little more. So JoAnn: Cut yourself some slack. You're only human. Just make tomorrow a fresh start. I know you can do it. As to your co-workers, forget them. They're the worst kind of people who beat other people down instead of lifting them up. Joni

Me too Joni about the liquid diet. Didn't eat a darn thing--and who says we don't have willpower? Congrats on being so close to goal.

It's so hard to let that stuff go, isn't it? The weight issue can really bring out the worst in people. I did Optifast too and gained the weight back so fast it was like I had never lost it. I am deathly afraid of that happening again too!! I'm so glad to have the support of this board! Marian

Their just jealous...you know how fabulous you are in all ways!!!! Some people just don't realize how stupid they can sound & be. We're all fighting the same battle with food one way or the other, hopefully we can use our knowledge to make the right choices most times. You will be successfull long term, will they??
