Starting Your Day Right
I am taking a chance in posting from this daily devotion that I read each day as well as Food for Thought. It is by a Christian Woman named Joyce Meyer. Starting Your Day Right, has been a blessing to me and I want to share this also w/others.
I know that this too is not for everyone on here. I'm sure there are those who will get something from these daily readings as well.
I am not out to offend anyones religious beliefs nor am I out to force my beliefs. I am just sharing something that helps me in my journey of life.
Take what helps you and leave what you disagree with.
Thanks for letting me have the opportunity to share this as well.

Temptation Isn't Sin
In the day when I called, You answered me; and You strengthened me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self. Psalms 138:1
Temptation to do wrong can make you feel horrible. You may think, I shouldn't be doing this; I shouldn't be having a problem with this. But God taught me that temptation isn't sin; we sin when we give in to temptation.
The Bible says temptation will come. It doesn't say, "Woe unto him who it comes", it says, "Woe unto him by whose hand it comes" (see Mathew17:7). Jesus told us to pray that we would not give into temptation when we are tempted (see Luke 22:40).
Psalm 105:4 is a great way to start your day right. It says, "Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence (continually) evermore."
I in know means am trying to force this down anyones throats. If I am not allowed to post this kind of post, than OH needs to inform me. Other wise I will be honored to post these on a daily basis too.
I trust those who this is meant to help and encourage will do just that.

Jeannie--I just want to let you know how I smile when I read your supportive posts regularly. I am so happy you finally came out of your "lurker" mode. You are wonderful and the positive support you offer people is great.
On another note--How is the Lord and Taylor by you? I miss Lord and Taylor. Do you have Nordstrom near you?
Awwwwwww thank you sweet Lynda!
We have the Millenium Mall (sp)? I believe they have both Lord and Taylor and Nordstrom there. It's a great mall and not too far from me.
So when are we going shopping? One of my favorite pastimes. LOL....

PS Keep safe from this hurricane. Are you leaving or staying?
