Well, I didn't make it again yesterday; I did better but didn't keep all my vows. Maybe I just need to start back simple and get back on track so today I vow to: ? Get my calories from protein sources and fight the bad carb urges. ? Drink at least 80 oz. of water. There, SURELY I can handle two simple vows for today. How did y'all do yesterday and what are you vowing to do today to stick with your plan? DeeDee (the de-railed carb-o-holic who doesn't do moderation well)

Yesterday was a so-so day for me. I exercised, had my vitamins. had proteins, had my water and here's the biggie had so carbs. Today I vow Eat only protein Drink water Take my vitamins Exercise

I didn't do too bad yesterday considering the day. I didn't even eat when the Cards lost. At least I got to see the last game in Busch Stadium. Today I vow to get at least 64 ounces of water in. I vow to eat protein first and get in at least 60 grams. I vow to walk all I can today on a field trip with my youngest daughter this afternoon to a buffalo ranch?! No eating after 7 p.m., which is always the hardest. I have lost the five pounds I gained when I went "crazy" a couple of weeks ago. It really scared me how easy it is to fall off the wagon, and be left in the dust. I too am not a good "moderation" girl. Joni

Good for you Joni on getting those 5 extra lbs. off!!!! It is easy to fall, but we are equipped now w/having wls to not fall as fast and furious like before. We have been given the ability to pick ourselves up faster and move on. I know having the support I have on here is a huge factor in my being successful. Mornin' DeeDee! Thanks for these posts! A couple of weeks back I picked up the- "Not eat after 7:30 in the evening" And have held to it. I'd never done that before. Actually, I set my time limit at 8:30 Because bedtime is usually after 11:00. I'm headed out of town up to Boston next week, And I'm going to have to watch myself. I'll be eating out for every meal, and during Time crunches, during breaks from the theater. 45 minute break and any food source is A 5 to 10 minute drive from the theater! Although, the last time I was there, all of the Long days at work, Missing a few meals , Replacing them with Low-Carb Slim-Fast drinks, And running around from Scene shop to propshop- I actually dropped about 4 lbs. Hoping for the same, Just No Theater Fire this time! Best Wishes- Dx

Hello Dee Dee - hang tough, you CAN DO IT! The ONLY thing I VOW to do today (well, I'll do a lotta stuff today, but this one, I promise to stay strong with) ...is to LOG off and POWER down the PC - before unloading at the keyboard. Gotta love how the power of "typed words" can get the ol' blood to start rushing and steam to start flowing. Oh, and while Im venting? How can so many GROWN UP ADULTS still use the standard "sissy/daddy/mommy pooh - snoogum oogums - cuppycake" kinda CHAT? I swear, people are NOT getting ID'd at the door again! - Lei
