I'm back from Kentucky and I brought back 3 extra pounds! That's what happens when I don't PLAN my day and don't write down what I eat and I don't get in my water and exercise. But I had a great time with our daughter and enjoying the beautiful fall colors. I get a dual taste of fall by seeing it in Kentucky first and waiting a couple weeks for it to show up here.
Today I vow to:
? Eat fewer than 1000 calories.
? Drink a minimum of 100 oz. of water.
? Eat three meals and one snack ONLY... no grazing!
? No eating after 7:30 PM
? Take the stairs instead of the elevator at the office.
? Work out in the gym after work.
It feels good to be back home, making vows, and sticking to a pre-defined plan for the day! Missed you guys!

I thought you were getting back today. My mistake.
Glad to hear you had a great time w/your daughter and that you got to enjoy the beautiful colors of Fall.
So you brought home w/you three unwanted guests. Well girl, you need to kick them to the curb! I know you will get rid of those unwanted pounds in know time at all. You are planning your days now and are getting back on track. We all go through this. It's a new day and another chance to do what we know to do. Make it a successful one!

Thank God, I can also say that yesterday was a success. I went to pick up water that was on sale and Weigh****cher candy was on display for 99 cents I grabbed one and then strolled to the forbidden aisle of munchies and grabbed a bag of bbq mini rice cakes. At the checkout I left the candy and rice cakes. Yippee
Today I vow to:
Exercise (done already)
Eat protein grilled chicken for lunch and steak for dinner
Drink my water
Stay focused at work
Eat my veggies
I don't usually do this.....because my willpower SUCKS lately......But I am taking control I think!!! Anyways today I vow to exercise, nothing crazy, but get my family out on a walk at least!!! Eat right!!! Drink right!!! And take all my Pills!!!!!!! And to be a good sport, I need to throw some laundry in the mix I will report back tomorrow Take Care jesi
You go girl! You take that control back!!!! You can do it! Be determined and know you have our support. We are here for each other.
You took a giant step by admiting you have been out of control and are know taking it back.
A walk sounds wonderful. It will help clear your head as well. Take a bottle of water w/you and sip, sip, sip!!!!!!
Take it moment by moment Jesi! You know what you need to do and you are making the right choices today.
Hang in there girlfriend!

I am reading a mayo clinic book on healthy weight. It differentiates between will power and self control. In will power you bring home the cookies and candy (ya know , because the KIDS NEED them) and vow not to eat them.
With self control you leave the junk at the store so it isn't right there calling your name.
self control tends to work better than willpower, because most of us are actually weak at heart when faced with high temptation.
I think the slef control method is in the long run going to be much healtheir for the whole family since the kids only need the junk if you are raising them to be morbidly obese themselves.
I work with someone who has a very overweight kid, she gets mad at him because he eats BOTH poptarts in the package and a serving is 1, not the 2 that are packaged together, I asked her why do you even buy it and do that to him, he is just a kid and how is he supposed to be able to control that? make him a scramble egg for heavens sake, or a yogurt with low sugar granola.
good luck to you and remeber one day at a time. You only have to be good today and tomorrow you can decide again.
