Good Morning Everyone! It's Friday and the start of another weekend. I hope you all will check in throughout the weekend and stay accountable. DeeDee should be back to take over on Wed. We hope she is enjoying her time away w/her daughter. Yesterday I got all my water and protein in, but didn't get to my treadmill. I will get to it today. So, how did you all do yesterday and what are you vowing to do today? Even if you make a commitment in one area is a start. Being accountable to a group of people that are also being accountable, truly is an incentive to stay on track. I know we all struggle in different areas, but we have the same thing in common. That is we had WLS and are aiming to either get to goal or maintain. Some are wanting to shed a few extra pounds before it gets too out of hand. Either way, we are striving toward the same goals. So why not be a support to each other. Join us in supporting one another in one fashion or another. Whatever you do today, do it with excellence. We can do whatever we put our minds to. Have a successful, abstinent, productive day! Today I plan to: 1.Get all my water in. 2.Get all my protein in. 3.Do the treadmill for 30mins. 4.No eating past 7:30. Jeannie

Hello Jeannie, I am gonna get my protein, water and continue prepping my house etc. for surgery. Have to represent my work at a little pancake supper type thing tonight. Am a little nervous about that and it is my 8th day of work in a row. sooo looking forward to the weekend but it is gonna be a busy one too. I am so amazed at what all I can do and WANT to do after losing 100 plus pounds. I was lucky to drag through work and sleep 6pm to 6am before. Thank you God for all your blessings! Have a great day everyone! Love, Lucy

Lucy, I know you have a lot going on lately between getting ready for surgery and your job. You are doing great and you are motivated to do your best. This is a stressful time right now, but a good kind of stress. The outcome will be worth it. It will be another part of your journey behind you w/the panni gone. You will do great tonight and just lean on God for your strength. Talk to you tomorrow. Jeannie

I am going to re-evaluate my eating habits, get refocused on what and how I am supposed to eat, and start exercising again!! I went through too much to stop now! I got the results back from my CT scan and endoscope.....my pouch is fine! Thank God.....now it is all about me and the basics! Diane

Hi Jeannie I'm struggling but I'm working on moving forward in a positive way. Can't grieve over past mistakes. Today a lot of bad choices. I vow to detox my body. I will drink my water, take my vitamins, exercise, and eat proteins and stay away from carbs. Raven

Raven, You recognize what you have to do and now you will do it. You are absolutley right about grieving over past mistakes. We can't undo any of it but we can go forward and try and learn from them. You have the ability of choice and what you choose is up to you. I wish you well on your endeavor to making good choices for your continued wellness. Jeannie

Today I plan 1. Get my diary started up again. Somehow I have to be able to get past just filling in breakfast! 2. Paint the blasted porch! I am so sick of the rain and I have to get that finished it looks like crap! 3. Get back to a regular routine with exercise. With all that is going on in life I have slacked off a bit. I know part of my problem is I get there and never want to leave. I need to learn to set a time limit to it and do just that. I wind up staying 2 hours. If I say one hour that is what I have to do! So can anyone help me out with this one? How do you set that limit and stay with it?

Hi Debbie! You have a plan and I know you can stick to it. You have your mind made up and know you will follow through! I hope the rain lets up enough for you to paint. That will be one thing out of the way. As far as the exercise goes, I suggest you set an alarm and when it goes off, no matter what your doing, just STOP and leave. When you do this enough times, it won't be so hard anymore. At least you want to exercise but there is a thing as too much of a good thing. It takes discipline and self control in all areas of maintaing a healthy lifestyle. Wishing you all the best! Jeannie
