I didn't drink all my water yesterday and paid for it terribly last night with a crampy tummy. This morning I got in all 30 oz. in the Jacuzzi tub like I do 99% of the time. I'm not going to mess that up again! Today I vow to: ? Eat a minimum of 80 grams of protein. ? Drink a minimum of 80 oz. of water. ? No eating after 8:30 PM - church night. ? Get packed to head to Kentucky tonight. I'm going to be heading to our weekend cottage and my daughter, from Ohio, is going to meet me there. We're planning a big 50th b'day surprise party Dec. 1st for TJ so we're getting together where we can talk and make plans. Should be a fun mom-n-daughter weekend. I won't be bac****il next Tuesday so y'all take over the vow post if you want to keep it up. Hope everyone is looking forward to a successful Wednesday; what are you vowing to do today to stick with you plan? DeeDee

OK, I'm waking up to a new day today. The past week was a crappy one, with both my kids having surgery. (Oral surgery for my 13 year old and eye surgery for my 9 year old). I failed the stress test miserably and ate like there was no tomorrow. I paid for it with a bad tummy, and a gain of a couple pounds. That really jolted me when I got on the scale at the gym this morning -- how fast the pounds can come back. How did my bad eating help my kids? I need to get a new way to deal with stress --- especially when it comes to my kids. When my 9 year old's eyes were bleeding, I stayed strong for her, but lost it inside -- and dealt with it by returning to my old eating habits. I've got to stop that. OK. Today I vow to return to protein only -- at least 60 grams. No carbs. Get all my water in. I've already been to the gym this morning for my step class. I'm back, and I'm ready to get back to basics. Joni Whew....I could live without another week like this for a while. Thanks for yanking me back to reality!

Good Mid Week Everyone! We're half way through the week and the weekend is right around the corner. Hope everyone is planning for a good weekend an a great day today. DeeDee, I wish I was going w/you. Sounds so nice and relaxing. I bet the foliage is just beautiful this time of year. Your cottage is so quaint. I'm sure you and your daughter will brain storm a fine surprise party for TJ. For Gary's '50'th I surprised him w/a 'Roast'. We had soooo much fun. Friends and family flew in and he was sooo surprised. I held it at his least favorite restuarant. LOL...He had NO idea I was throwing him a party that night in THAT place.LOL He has lots of memories from that event. I promised to get on the treadmill last night and I did! It gives incentive to vow/promise to do something and stick to it. I already did my 30mins.this morning too. Today I will: 1.Get all my protein in. 2.Get all my water in. 3.Do 30mins.on the treadmill. (done) 4.Enjoy the rest of the time I have w/DH before he fly's out this afternoon. 5.Go to Church on time. I'm happy to hear of you who are back on track and are doing all they know to do to get to goal, maintain or loose those few extra pounds. Whatever category you fall into, just pat yourself on the back for trying. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. We CAN do this if we put our minds to it. I believe today we are determined to succeed. Your cohort in the battle against the "BULGE", Jeannie PS DeeDee, I will do my best to keep this thread going while you are away. See you next Wed.
