OT: Question about IUD

Hi guys...I had an IUD inserted about 4 weeks ago...and the cramps are just KILLING me. I've NEVER experienced so much pain (not even when I was in labor since I had epidurals very early ) So for those of you who have an IUD my question is...when do the cramps stop?!!! Hugs, Paola

Paola, I had an IUD in 1978 and had it removed in 1985. It's bee a long time ago so I don't remember how long the cramps lasted but I do know it got better because I kept it and I loved it as a birth control method. Best wishes; I do hope you get to feeling better soon. DD

You should have it checked. Cramps should not last this long. You may have an inflamation or reaction to the device. Good luck sweetie. HUGS, Christina
