Any "Neck Lifts" out there.... ?
Life is good - soooooooo busy right now finishing up my last semester of classes. Found out last weekend that I got the two clinical sites that I requested - WHEW!
Always blame Paul LOL So glad you get some time together! I so know what you mean about always on the go! I've got two tests I have to take and a couple of assignments I have to complete - the deadlines are this weekend but I'm heading out of town Thursday evening for my cousin's wedding in Chicago so I have to make sure everything's completed for the week by Wednesday. Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!
Talk to you soon!
Hi Lei,
I'm considering a neck lift. I have not offically began searching for a plastic surgeon yet.
My question to you and anyone else who would like to reply is about how much are you being quoted for just a waddle removal?
I know it would be a self pay for me.
Thanks and congrats on your success.

Hello Jeanne -
I've gotten THREE quotes on a "Lower Face Lift" ...which is the techie term for neck lift.
$7000, $6500, and $5500 -- I made my decision based on the doctors skills, photos of patients, overall time in the business, and what really SOLD me on the doctor I went with was his PRECARE and AFTERCARE.
Ive gone with the surgeon who's charging $6500 - his PreCare includes 2 Hyper-baric treatments (pure H20 breathing twice before surgery, 1 hour intervals) ...also, 2 Hyper-Baric treatments AFTER surgery. The pure H20 promotes quicker healing. Also, there will be 2 Ultra-Sound treatments to the under chin area - which helps to sooth and loosen up the 'tightness' in the muscles. About 3 weeks after the surgery, there is an extensive facial spa treatment to soothe, loosen and help with the dry skin - from surgery.
He was the ONLY one that had all of this included in his program - also, his surgery (OR) room is there on site. So he's a $1000 higher then one of the quotes, but his skills and aftercare SOLD ME!
Good luck to you - Lei
I can tell you that I had to do about 7 ultrasound treatments to my neck area after the lift to get all the swelling down and make it look nice. I also had an electro stimulation machine given to me and I hooked up the electrodes twice a day for about 2 weeks post op to aide the healing process and bring down the swelling quicker. I also put a heat pack on everything twice a day for about 2 weeks. My PSs wife owns a physical therapy place and between the 2 of them I was able to get everything looking fine real quick. I didnt have to pay extra for the physical therapy part of the routine.

Gobble gobble -- love ya anyway -- Turkey neck and all!
How ya doing good lookin'? Miss you guys and should have my butt spanked for not checking in more often!
Got my labs done last week -- nothing way out of wack except for my TCH (THYROID) readings -- hmmm... think I should do better at taking my meds???
Love ya chic -- and miss you bunches!
Traci / "Perry"
Hey Traci--Where did you move to? I am definitely gonna spank your butt for not checking in on a more regular basis. Take your GD thyroid meds--it can screw up all sorts of things.
I'm thinking strongly about making the trip in January--it would be fun--you gotta do it. I plan on looking at my schedule this week-end to make sure it is a go.

Hey girlfriend!! Moved into town (temporarily with my younger brother -- the permanent move to my own apartment is this weekend!!!)
I'll bring the paddle with me to Virginia in January -- take a number, I think you're 10000000000th in line!
The thyroid has screwed up a lot of things (the reason I went for blood work to begin with) -- BEGGED my PCP for some anti-anger pills, but he said the irritability and depression was stemming from the LOW level of hormones in my system and refused until we get my TCH levels back in check. In the meantime, I've been fighting that "damn... that looks like a great phone pole" feeling every day on my way into work.... 2 weeks later and it's still not getting any easier! I think the easiest cure for that would be another job... but no luck there either!
Just been in a funk... for too long really -- still waiting for my head to screw back down tight and to start thinking straight again... hoping that day is soon!
Still doing good on the weight loss -- gained back 10 (lost 3 of that) and have been maintaining for about 8 months now. So the weight is no longer an issue --
Can't wait to see you in January since I missed you in May!! I hope you can make it!
Much love -
T.
TRACI, hello gorgeous!
Where the heck have YOU been, woman?!?!?!? I've missed yappin' with you - figured things musta' gotten really hot and heavy with you and your new fella' .... but stop that disappearing chit, will ya? Better yet, now that I have you trapped in a message blog - lemme corner you about January in [Richmond] Virginia!
CAN YOU MAKE IT? hmmmmm?!?
Ive officially booked my room as of yesterday, for Friday and Saturday, leave Sunday. It would be awesome if you could be there too. Im still working on Lynda (in Florida) and hopefully she'll be committing to it by next week. LOL, something about having to shuffle through her social calendar to make sure she can "pencil" us peeps in!
Hey? TAKE YOUR MEDS!!! You know the drill - no exceptions, you and your HEALTH is worth it. Period! I'll be happy to smack ya' silly (after I hug the breath right outta you).
Hope life is treating you well - love and miss you!!
Lei

Hey chic -- don't worry -- my girlfriend, Anthony, backed me into a corner about Virginia in January MONTHS ago -- but it was going to be a surprise to you -- but screw it... let's plan an attack!
I haven't booked a room yet - you'll have to let me know the name of the hotel, phone number, etc. and I'll call and book mine today/this weekend. I'd love to meet Lynda and I hope she does make it -- she's been such a great support to me for the past couple of years! Very sweet woman!
Don't worry about the meds -- I have a "bulldog" calling me every morning screaming into my phone "TAKE YOUR GD MEDS!!!!!" -- so I've been doing good for a whole 2 weeks now! Still waiting for the hormones to get back in check -- but that's a whole other story!
As for the new fella -- it seems that the "goose/gander" philosophy doesn't work with him. He has a very obnoxious friend who I returned the favor to and apparently appalled/embarrassed him so badly that he's come up MIA -- hmmm... imagine that... a chicken-chit man!! I didn't know they still existed, but I guess he just proved they still do! Might have something to do with me jumping both feet down his throat and wiggling myself down to the waist in setting my boundaries for "I'm me - I'm not going to change. Accept it or leave it!" Go figure!
I'll have to share that story another day -- but suffice it to say that in a month -- I've formally burned the bridge between the sexes!
Anyway chic -- shoot me that info -- shoot me YOUR number -- and let me know when you're free to chat -- I'll give you the full low down!
Love you to pieces --
T.
