Any "Neck Lifts" out there.... ?
Hello Joyce!!! ...another gorgeous face from years past!
Hope you're doing well?? One good thing about the GRAD board is Im able to catch up with friends I lost touch with, courtesy of the "local forums". As much as I enjoy ALL the various forums on OH, sometimes I think there are just waaaaaaaaay TOO many and unfortunately, it can cause people to lose touch!
Anyway - I wanted to let you know that I also sent this post ot the Plastic Surgery Forum.
Here is the link, if you'd like to read some of the replies. Susan gave some very extensive, detailed info... lol, even if she does have me scared now (although I appreciated the brutal honesty).

[sigh] ...ME NO LIKE PAIN, Iz such a wimp!
Take care of YOU - hugs - Lei
Hey Lei,
Thanks for the link.
Right now I am trying to talk hubby into another "unnecessary surgery" (his words).
I know what you mean about the pain thang!
Someone asked about prices...so far I have been quoted $5,000 - $5,500.
I was looking into a "mini-lift", but was told there was no such thing??? So, I am not sure what to call what I want...cuz I don't really want a full face lift, just my neck and lower face. My daughter tells me I am going to look like Cher if I keep getting PS...LMAO (hey, I'm all for that...we are the same age and she is HOT!)
Hugs,
Joyce
Hey sweet stuff - (aka Cher)
I "think" the term you're looking for is a "Lower Face Lift" ...which is what all three doctors I spoke to called it. It focuses literally on the jowls and the neck area, which are pretty much handled with stiches around the front and back part of your ear, and the back hair line - also, in my case (and I suspect most cases) there will be a small 1/4 inch scar right under the CHIN to help remove some of the fat pad, maybe some lip (ouch) and my doc assured me I'd look like a CHIPMUNK the first week home.
LOL - that'll test my hubby's true love for me, for sure!
I didnt' want the FULL face lift, because... well, Im afraid that I'll always have this SHOCKED look on my face - lol, I alread have a problem with looking TERRIFIED - cause my eyes tend to be really big. Don't need the doc opening even wider for me.
Hugs - Lei
You may be right about the lower face lift, but I read about a "mini facelift" that is supposed to be really simple and it only takes like a week or two to heal. (I know if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is!) Online the other day I watched this clip about the "quick lift". I dont remember the site, but if you google it, you can probably find it. Sounded like what I am interested in....THE QUICK FIX.
Anyhoo, I am like you, I do not want the shocked (horrified) look. But, personally, I would give my little beady eyes for your really big ones any day....
Hugs,
Joyce
Hello sweet thang'
How's life treating you? Hope things are going well - I need to get my butt over to your profile and play catchup!!!
Im gonna blame Paul for my lack'a time lately - he's FINALLY got a week off (very much deserved, they've been working some horrible hours lately) and we're staying close to home, but as always - constantly on the go!
Hugs - Lei
