hi all, you would think with so much stress in the last few weeks I would have gained but I have actually lost about 3 pounds! lets see... my 18 year old half brother decided he did not want to live in california anymore because it was too expensive so he asked if he could come to my area. Paducah KY, he had been here 2 years ago for the summer and really liked it. he does not have a license to when he got here I got to drive him around looking for an apartment and a job. this was not really too bad, it was kind of fun and I got to know him better. the problem is he and MY 18 year old son just don't get along, they are so different. the day after my brother flew in I get a call from my father in law, they are in Houston and Rita is coming!!! so I had to get my house ready for 4 more people, my mother in law and two of my nieces( their parents were staying behind) so now I had a total of 9 people in my house plus my two dogs and two cats. Lets just say my mother in law is a selfish hypercondriac witch and leave it at that. after a week I was ready to run away, but I had to bite my tongue and tell them to stay as long as they needed. then my son has been on pins and needles waiting to get work when he is leaving for the Marines!!!(OMG) there have been set backs and lost paper work and who knows what else happens, so he has been hard to live with. But during this whole time I pretty much stuck to my diet! I did eat a few things I don't normally eat but with so many people it was hard to always follow. I did always make sure I had my protein, my fluids, my vitamins and watch my calories, just did not get time to exercise like I wanted to. my inlaws and my little brother (got an apartment)are gone now but son is still waiting on the Marines. things were nice today. so quiet. I weighed myself and found I had lost 3 1/2 pounds!!! don't know how but it was a nice little suprise, i was sure I had gained about 10 pounds with all the stress. Donna 277/146.5

Sure does sound like it has been stressful for you, but in all that typing I didn't read that you stopped and had a meal once. Remember you are a priority. You are special. What would happen to all those people who lean on you if you weren't healthy? So remember take care of you. You sound like a saint and my mother-in -law can be described in the same way, but she lives two-miles away and works at the same place I do. Stacey

Hi Stacy, I pretty much stuck to my eating schedule. when I first get up, i have a bowl of oatmeal with my ground flax seed. and at about noon I have some canned tuna or chicken with melted cheese on top and at dinner, once everyone got what they wanted, i grabbed my little plate and got some meat and veggies. my father in law did mention very often how thankful he was of all that I was doing for everyone and he also talked about how much better I got around and how I did not have to sit down and rest like I used to. I am so thankful that my MIL lives 800 miles away! Donna
