This weekend I vow to: ? Eat fewer than 1200 calories; mostly from protein ? Drink a minimum of 80 ounces of water each day ? Pick up my new bike and go riding ? No eating after 7:30 PM Good luck with your vows this weekend --- what are you planning to do to stay on track for your personal plan? DeeDee

Hi DeeDee Yesterday was a hell of a day. Eating was so-so. First day that I didn't exercise this week so far. Today I will exercise ,take my vitamins, and stay below 1,000 calories. I struggle everyday but with the blessings of God I make it through. Stay True to yourself and others Raven

I'm going to try to do better today. My protein train derailed yesterday. I didn't necessarily eat bad, but I didn't stick to the protein. Oh well, today's a new day. I vow to eat only protein today, and get all my water in. Unfortunately, I won't get to exercise today because my oldest is having oral surgery later this morning. My youngest -- she's nine -- is having eye surgery on Tuesday. I think I'm subconsiously starting to freak out, and that's reflected in my eating. I'm trying to be strong for everyone else, but hey, a mom can only take so much. I need to learn to find comfort in other things than food.... What other things do you use to comfort you when your stressed? Joni

Joni, I hope your weekend is going well and you're sticking to your protein and water. I hope your daughter's oral surgery went well and that your other daughter's eye surgery goes well too. I have yet to master the "finding comfort in things other than food" yet but it's certainly an area I need to focus on. I do find that going to the gym helps me. Mid afternoon when I'm getting the munchies I think about spending an hour in the gym working off Oreo cookies and I can usually talk myself out of it with a cup of hot tea (decaf). I wish you the best ... hang in there; we'll make it! DD
