Losing after 8-10 month plateau

Has anyone started losing again after a long plateau? I had assumed I was done losing, but have lost 3-4 lbs. in the last 2 weeks without making any conscious changes. Just curious....

Interesting topic. I will check back to see other responses. My weight loss stopped at 16 months and nothing I did seemed to move it. My doctors say that's because it was time to stop, but I wanted another 10-15 lbs. You didn't say if you still wanted to lose more weight, but I'm sure if you don't want to lose any more that you can figure out how to stop it at this stage. Have a good day!

I could probably stand to lose another 5-10 pounds, but I don't want to lose anymore than that. I'm pretty large framed for only 5'4 and I already look pretty bony through my shoulders/torso, etc. Now if if would like to come off my tummy....well, that would be fine! I just thought it was odd to drop a little after so much time and wondered if anyone else had experienced it.

Julia, I stopped losing in June of 2004 and started losing again in Feb 2005, I have lost about 30 lbs since then. I am now trying to lose another 10-20, before i feel as though I am done. Right now I am below what my surgeon said I would get to. Take care MaryLyn

I go to a Diabetic educator/RN. She has me on a lower carb lower fat regimen. It works although I am in my craving mode...right now. MaryLyn

Let me elaborate a little more. If you have fruit with a meal then no bread is allowed. I use low carb breads, milk etc. eat all veg's etc. higher protein of course. No counting calories... Marylyn
