I have offically been on the protein train all day and I exercised 30 mins. I had an achieve coffee drink with added protein for breakfast, some nuts for a snack, drank my water, had tuna salad with melted cheese and cottage cheese for lunch, a small latte for a snack, and just finished refried beans with cheese and chili sauce for supper. By the way I wasnt hungry like all the past days, THANK GOD!!!! ( AND ALL MY WLS GRADS!) I know that beans are on the protein list but are also high in carbs. Is that alright, I hopel. I feel good about things tonite. Thanks for the support everyone!! Annette/Corrina

great job! congrats! you are gonna have to ask the train condutors for the ruling on the beans. I do know that the purpose of this whole thing is get your body away from craving carbs--and what causes that is carbs--even if it is protein. I think at least it is a very healthy way of eating. I'm sure you will get a ruling tomorrow

Congratulations lady! I'm glad you had a successful day and you're feeling great about it. I don't know the answer to the beans question. I assume there's no way to get to zero carbs since most everything has some carbs even if only a trace. The main thing, in my opinion, is that apparently you weren't out of control and that's a good thing! Keep up the good work! DD

I think you did very well, but of course, my favorite protein drink was also your choice ~ the AchievOne protein coffee drink. If I didn't start the day with one, I'd feel deprived!! Way to go on curtailing the carbs! Jan

Jan--I just bought 10 cases in order to save on shipping when I was over there last week. My daughter likes them and drinks them too. Ya know she is now the distributor for them so if you can find a retailer willing to stock them then that would be an option.

Lynda, you said you bought 10 cases when you were "over there" last week. Over where???? I was buying them directly from the manufacturer in California but hated to wait so long, so I just get them from Susan Maria who ships like the wind! I wish she didn't have a 4 case maximum when she has her sales, though! AND.....I hear there are 2 new flavors coming out soon!! I tried to get someone here carry the product, but so far, no luck! Sorry Jan--didn't mean to be so vague. I assumed you were getting them from Susan Maria. Over there--Fort Lauderdale, when I was going for my ps follow-up. I have never ordered them through the mail from Susan because the shipping was so much. In fact I had never tried them until the OH event in Orlando despite the fact that Charlie kept raving about them--lol, I really am cheap sometimes. When I went to her storefront originally, Susan told me that she got the distributership for a large area--at least Florida. She also mentioned something about arranging some sort of special shipping deal with one of the shipping companies for large volume shipping of them. I am sure there is a weight maximum with the shipper she usually uses. I didn't realize she normally had a maximum--that must be why. I would email her and ask about a larger volume shipping (I don't know why, but 8 cases stuck in my mind). How I wish I had bought more than 4 cases when I went the first time and they were on sale! They are so conveinient and good. They are out of Vanilla--on backorder from the mfg. What is your favorite flavor? I like mocha best--but I like to mix it up. I hope one of the new flavors is caramel. The protein train is something that some of the posters on this board started to get back on track--something you clearly are having no problem with. LOL

I know how you feel! I've been on the protein train since Monday. It's really hard, but you do feel a real sense of accomplishment! Way to go! I have noticed the more carbs I eat the more I want. It really is a vicious cycle. As to your beans question, they are listed on the plateau buster, and I quote: "you may consume up to 3 oz. of the following high-protein foods, 5 times a day: (Last item) ? beans/legumes" Keep up the great work! Choo-choo. I'm staying on the train through Friday. Joni

Good job! I am sure beans are fine as long as a reasonable quantity. You are on your way to breaking that plateau. Keep it up... Lucy
