G'morning folks! I didn't make it to the gym after work yesterday but other than that I kept my vows. I've been extremely busy at work this week and not able to "play" on OH from the office like I can sometimes ... but I am thinking about y'all throughout the day. Today I vow to: ? Eat fewer than 1200 calories; mostly from protein ? Drink a minimum of 80 ounces of water ? Take the stairs instead of the elevator at work ? Go to church instead of the gym What are you vowing to do today to stay on track with your personal plan? Y'all have a Wonderful Wednesday! DeeDee

Had a rough day yesterday. Carbs were in control. I did walk 3 miles, took my vitamins. Today I vow to stay away from carbs, eat tons of protein and I have already walked 2.5 miles.

Good for you getting your walking in early. I just want to know one thing --- how can you eat a TON of protein post-op? Stick with your plan lady, you can do it!! DeeDee

Good Morning! I'm happy to report that I am feeling much better today. It felt so good to rest yesterday and not feel guilty about it. I have my ex-sister inlaw coming into town today and will be staying w/me until Fri. morning, so I'm glad I took the time to rest yesterday. I just need to do a few little things around the house today before she arrives. I didn't do bad yesterday, I just wasn't able to get all my water and protein in. I planned on getting on the treadmill last night, but decided not to. I was to rest all day and night and that is what I chose to do. I know I made the right decision. Today I will: 1.Get all my protein in. 2.Get all my water in. 3.Do the treadmill for at least 30mins. 4.Go to church. 5.Enjoy spending time w/my company! Let me encourage you all to stay focused and determined to stay on track today. We can do anything we put our minds to. Have a Blessed Day! Jeannie

I'm so glad to know you're feeling better and rested. I do hope you enjoy your day with company and you do well keeping your vows. I'm so ready for fall to be here ... it feels silly wearing open toed shoes in October. DeeDee

Thanks DeeDee! I will enjoy her if she ever gets here...LOL...She got off to a late start today. She is driving here from the Florida Keys which about an 8hr.drive from me. I have kept up w/my plan so far. Almost done w/my water for the day, did the treadmill for 35mins, and getting all my protein in. I love the Fall Season. It's my favorite time of the year. I miss the cool brisk air and the brilliant colors of the foliage. It will be here soon for us Southern folks! Have a Blessed time at church tonight. Jeannie

I kept my vows yesterday -- Two no-carb days in a row -- Woo-Hoo! I have to say it was a little easier yesterday than Day 1. I did get a headache the first day. Was that coincidential or does anyone else get a headache going off carbs? Today I vow to continue the protein train through Friday: I will drink all my water --64 ounces plus. I will eat 64 grams of protein plus. I have already been to the gym to exercise this morning. I won't eat after 7. (This has really been hard, but I've done it two days in a row now) Choo-choo -- all aboard! Joni

Great job Joni! Glad to hear that day two was better for you and as to your question about headaches, Yes! I get them when I detox from carbs. Just pop some Tylenol and that should take care of it. It should pass in a few days. Just hang in there. It will all be worth it. Keep up the good work. Jeannie
