Ok Val, I realize I'm new here, but you must share your recipes, especially the smothered pork chop, the garlic peppercorn marinated t'bone steak, and your vanilla egg custard - PLEASE! Thanks, Betsy C.

I actually have a bariatric cookbook published entitled Cooking With Soul. You can pick it up on my website (bariatric101.com) or at Borders. VAL

NO VAL!!! It's just not right that you do that to us! Don't make us all drool and then tell us that we can "...pick it up on my website (bariatric101.com) or at Borders." Not fair at all IMHO!! Just give US the recipe and WE will ALL love and appreciate YOU that much MORE than WE already do! Hugs n Donna

Joanne--I have to admit I was a little taken back by your list--I think it was the croissant that caught my eye first. LOL! Then I noticed you had the DS--it really is a different eating plan, isn't it?

Not too different, really. I try (sometimes not so successfully lol) to concentrate on protein and limit sugars and carbs but today was not a very good day. And I don't digest most of the fat I eat so ice cream is good for me (at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) Lynda, I've just been looking at your profile. Congratulations on your great weight loss. You look marvelous! -joanne s 277/160/150

breakfast - Oatmeal cooked in milk instead of water witha few raisins sprinkled on top. snack - fruit and a granola bar. Lunch 1/2 a chicken & cheese enchilada, but only part of the tortilla. few bites dirty rice (leftover from dinner at a cajun place, there was enough rice with the meal to feel a whole family, so I ate a few bits and boxed up the rest to bring home. at the rate I can eat rice it would last till thanksgiving so I'm throwing out the leftovers. ) Dinner - will be whatever lean cuisine I have in the freezer. I rarely eat that kind of junk but I am not in the mood to cook.

Hi Elle, Sorry to read about your surgery. However, it is nice to see your smiling face around here. Hope you have a quick recovery. I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of doing nothing.
