Good morning folks - hope y'all all had a wonderful weekend! I spent yesterday at the air show and have a sunburn! I can't believe I have a sunburn in October. I think I did okay with my vows this weekend but I was out and about so I couldn't weigh and measure my food like I can at home. I drank LOTS of water at the air show though - at $3.00 a bottle! (No, they wouldn't let us bring in our own coolers.)
Today I vow to:
? Eat fewer than 1200 calories
? Drink a minimum of 80 ounces of water
? Take the stairs instead of the elevator at work
? Work out at the gym after work
? No eating after 7:30 PM

Hi DD,
Feels like ages since I have checked in. Doing ok though- just busy. Have lost 5 of the 6 pounds I had gained since August. My dinner party Friday night was a success. I kinda feel like my attitude is adjusted properly and I am gonna keep plugging away. Today my vows are:
1/2 hour exercise
3 meals 3 snacks incorporating fresh fruits and veggies
At least 60 g protein
64 oz water
all my vitamins, my antidep., thyroid etc. ( i hate to admit I sometimes don't take my meds as I should)

Glad to have you join in with us. I can't wait until tomorrow's post to hear that you kept all your vows. Congrats on getting the exercise in early; what a great way to start the day. Good luck on the no-snacking; that's a hard one for me too!

I have become an exercise fanactic, I workout at least 5 times a week and last week was my worst week with exercising, just 1 day. After reflecting, I decided that I haven't allowed my job to interrupt my daily schedule of being active, so here I back to it. Now as far as the food intake, carbs have given me the beatdown as the young kids would say. After receiving so many good comments this past weekend, I will not turn back on achieving my goal. I'm asking God to guide me in through this and I know that he will not mislead me.

Choo-choo! I vow to take the protein train today.
I have to de-carb my body! I had a less-than-stellar weekend , and the carbs need to go.
Today, I vow to get in 60 grams of protein or more.
I won't eat anything else other than protein today.
I vow to get in 80 ounces of water.
No eating after 7 p.m. (which is a killer for me).
Exercise today at the gym.
I'm going to try to de-carb all week. I welcome anyone to join me!

Hi Joni,
I had an all day class Saturday which forced me to eat at a restaurant and Sunday we spent at an air show where we couldn't bring in food/coolers so I didn't get to eat like I have been eating. I'm back to doing my proteins first today and I may incorporate some good veggie/fruit carbs this evening but all day is going to be protein until my evening meal.
I know how that carb monster can be so I'm there with you! Good luck on the not eating after 7:00 --- that's a major pitfall for me too!
