I didn't quit make all my vows yesterday. I intended to eat dinner before church but that didn't happen. I got home at 8:30 and was hungry; I'd only had 560 calories up to that point. So... I ate after 7:30 PM last night. However, I did keep my calories under 1200, protein was 78 grams and I had 104 oz. of water. I also took the stairs at work yesterday instead of the elevator - YAY me!
Today I vow to:
? Eat fewer than 1200 calories and get that mostly from protein sources.
? Drink a minimum of 80 ounces of water.
? Go to the gym after work and work out.
? Take the steps at work instead of the elevator.
? Not eat after 7:30 PM.
Did y'all do well with your plan yesterday and shat are your vows for today to keep you committed to your own personal plan? Have a Terrific Thursday folks!

Hey Dee Dee I am right with you on the thursday vows however I need to change the gym to a 2 mile walk. I did OK yesterday but need to get a little more water in I drink coffee and Ice tea but need that darn water. Does know of good success with WW. I tried the Protein train and I did lose 4 pounds but it just seems like more trouble than it was worth. I have not gained weight since surgery but need to get on a program to help me lose the remainder of my weight. (50 lbs) any advise would be welcome.

Katherine,
Lucy (who posted earlier on this post) is doing Weigh****chers. You might want to ask her how it is going; I know she lost last week. I'm on my second round of WLS after a staple line disruption and I'm already feeling the pains of getting close but not quite there. I'm trying to stay determined but it's certainly not as easy as it was early out!
I find I can drink a lot more water when I do two things: 1) Take a 30 oz. bottle with me and get in the Jacuzzi tub in the moring and 2) Drink water while working out on the treadmill. Good luck to you!

Good Morning!
Hope everyone's morning is going well so far. Mine is.
I got a lot accomplished already. I read my devotions, did 50mins. on the treadmill, burned some cd's, had breakfast, even made the bed.LOL...hubby doesn't like me to make it all the time (we sleep under separate blankets). So while he's away, I can look forward to a nicely made bed. Ahhhhhhh!
I had a productive day yesterday as well. Got 105grms. of protein in, 96oz. of water and did 45mins. on the treadmill. I decided to bring my own meal to church last night instead of taking the chance on what they were serving. Good thing, they had mac&cheese and chicken nuggets.hehe. My tuna salad on a bed of lettuce was delicious! Again, it's about making good choices. I even had fruit twice yesterday.
I brought a new liquid vit. called Miracle 2000, I thought I'd give it a try and see how effective it is and I also brought Liquid Health. It's a calcium. They are expensive, but I got tired of crushing 4 pills twice a day. I want to absorb as much as I can and I feel liquid is the best choice. I'll let ya know if I see an improvement.
Today I plan to:
1.Get in at least 80grms. of protein.
2.Get in between 80-100oz.of water.
3.Do the treadmill for no less than 30mins. (did 50mins)
4.Decorate for the Fall Season.
5.Confront a decision I have to make.
6.Get to prayer meeting on time.
****ch Everwood at 9:00.
8.Get to bed by 10:15.
I believe we all are working hard on our goals, vows, commitments etc.
I just want to encourage everyone to keep pressing in, keep doing what you know to do and keep the faith. Faith in God, in this tool, in each other and in Yourself!
I love you all!

Jeannie,
You're doing so good! I took 2 oz. of turkey jerky to church with me to eat while I was setting up the computer (I run the worship presentation software). My poor husband came to church starving so I ended up nibbling a couple pieces of jerky and gave him the rest. (I'm sure that's another jewel in my crown. )
I am feeling so great and keeping these vows every day is really helping me a lot. I'm not perfect but my favorite quote keeps me on track... "You really only want what you are willing to pay for. If the price of attainment is too great for you to pay, you do not desire that particular thing or condition with intensity; hence you do not deserve it." I guess we're paying for it and hence we deserve the successes we're getting these last couple of weeks!
Keep up the good work lady!!

Thanks DeeDee, I'm giving it my ALL!!!! And I too love the quote. I just copied it and I'm gonna try and memorize it. It has sooooooooo much truth to it. Exactly what are we willing to pay? All I know is that I want to have balance and control that I am willing to pay the price to attain it and keep it.
We sure do deserve the successes! Wooohooo!!!!
You keep up the good work too!
Jeannie

I repeated that quote a gazillion times a day during my two-week pre-op liquid diet. I still repeat it often like earlier this week when I fondled a package of Oreo cookies!
"You really only want what you are willing to pay for. If the price of attainment is too great for you to pay, you do not desire that particular thing or condition with intensity; hence you do not deserve it."
Glad you enjoyed it too!
