Weigh****chers
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has joined weigh****chers and followed their points system to get the last bit of their weight off? I seem to be at a standstill with my weight.....despite doing low carb, no carb.....up the water and exercise. I still have about 20 lb I need to loose. And yes, I've done the plateau buster several times to no avail. So, I am seriously considering going back to weigh****chers and give it a try.
Thanks for your input.
Teresa
I have gone back to Weigh****chers -- the last 8 weeks.
I am not really following the points menu. I am eating like I'm supposed to, and being on Weigh****chers makes me more aware of what goes in my mouth and the fact I have to weigh each week.
You can follow the core menu, where you don't have to count points. I guess I do that more often.
I have lost 11 pounds in 8 weeks between the exercise and food plan. I too was at a standstill. I now sit just 4 pounds from the high end of the goal, and I'm obsessed with reaching it. For the first time in my life, I could be at goal.
I have certainly paid for several Weigh****chers employees salaries over the years.
I had wanted to be at 155, which is a normal BMI, but if Weigh****chers says 160 is goal and so does my doctor, I've decided that will be my new goal. If I lose more, great. If I don't, so what. I just want to be able to say Joni @ goal for once in my life.
Hi,
I recently got 10 weeks at WW too. I am really struggling to maintain and lose about 20 more too. Personally I don't know if I am committed enough at this point to make WW work for me. It is just like before surgery... We have to make up our minds we are going to do it. But I think the accountability is good and their "lessons" are always useful. I've heard people comment that is is hard to get sufficient protein under the points system but I think it is possible. At 162 pounds I am allowed 22 points per day and a couple of my protein shakes are 8 points and 60g protein
So anyway I guess I wanna say it can't hurt to try it out if you want to and can afford it. We can never have enough support and inspiration.

Thanks, Lucy......I think if you cut out the carbs and used your points for your protein, you would get sufficient protein....but I don't know, maybe that's not enough food for us. I guess I'll just give it a try and see. I gotta do something...it's making me crazy trying to lose the last bit of weight.
Thanks again,
Teresa
Hi Teresa:
I have about 30lbs to loose and I have been at a standstill. Last Friday I joined weigh****chers. I weighed myself today (I couldnt resist!) and I have already dropped about 2lbs..this is the first weightloss for me in over 3 months!...I think so far, its doing the job for me!
hope that helps!

I too have joined weigh****chers. If not to do the actual way of eating because my nutrionist claims they are all about food, foof, food, but to be in that meeting environment and get some group support.
I am flucuating with my weight. I was 290lbs at surgery, lost 180lbs in 10mths now 2 years later I am 191lbs. Never got to goal, but I am trying to work on it.
