Down to 110 lbs YIKESSSSSSSSSSSS
a boiled egg will almost ALWAYS give me a belly ache, the yolk is just too dry and thick. I can only eat bioled eggs made into devilled eggs. scrambled with cheese is my dish.
maybe focus on some softer foods for a while, yogurt, cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, protein shakes to get your intake up. Make a smoothie & add milk, friut , yogurt to your protein shake. when my wieght dropped too much after my belt lipectomy and I had an illeus, i used protein shakes to put some weight back on. I personally am amazed when I hear people who are trying to lose take more shakes, they pack weight on me in no time.
the pain cannot be normal. Maybe call the Drs office sooner & let them know you are in pain.
Do you have a gall bladder? when mine went bad I had a lot of nausea and pain under my ribcage up high.
My guess would be gallbladder, but I'm not a doctor. Another possibility would be a hernia but I'd think as thin as you are that a hernia would be noticeable to the naked eye. A friend of mine (wls patient) had a hernia near the breast bone and every time she ate she got sick. Once the hernia was removed she can eat fine. That's the first person I've ever heard of where a hernia effected eating.
I agree with another poster who suggested eating soft proteins to see if they'd stay down easier. Things like chili, shrimp creole, etc. Basically go back to a soft diet for a while and see what happens.
Best of luck to you.
Sheila,
Have your doc do a scope and see how far open the stoma is. If it is too little (under 8-10cm), then I can see where you would fill up fast. That happened to me early on. I had to have it stretched because it closed up to a pinhole. I had it done 2x after and now it is at least 13cm. I'm wishing I would have left it at 10 like the doc said later.
