NEW TO THIS BOARD
Hi all!
It has been a long time since I posted on the main message board. I am so glad to see that there is a group for grads now. I have been hanging around on Obesity Help for about 3 years off and on again. I recently had my pofile spruced up and finally posted some pictures!!
I am close to 3.5 years out and am doing great!! I am proud to report that I have maintained my weight loss wonderfully. It has been a hard road, but one worth taking. Looking forward to posting more and lending support wherever I can.
Just wanted to say hi and that I am back for awhile.
Take care,
Dawn
Welcome to the board Dawn. We need people like you who have maintained their weight loss long term. Every time I see someone like you I think if she can do it so can I.
I have been on maintenance 2 months after losing 200 lbs but find the weight going up and down daily. Overall I am lower than goal at this point but find it stressful when the scale goes up a pound or two. I suppose in time I will accept this as being a normal fluid gain fluctuation.
Hope you enjoy the board and come back often.
Thanks Pat for the nice welcome!! Wow, congratulations on your 200 pound weight loss. That is so awesome! I do hope I can inspire people to do well by setting a good example. Just stick with what you know is right and you can't go wrong!!
I look forward to hanging around here in the future and hopefully talking to you again.
Take care,
Dawn
Hi Dawn. Thanks for posting! I love to read about long term postops who have been successful keeping their weight off. I'm a little over a year postop and so far doing well. I did have a frightening thought today though, I realized how keeping the weight off is going to be a life long struggle for me and I still have a lot of life left, I'm 41 years young! Keep up the good work, you look beautiful, and I love your hair!
