Hope all is going well. Just a note to let you all know how much I miss you... It all started off with a visit from Patty Butler, then the day after she left, Who came to visit but My Mom in Law, The day she leaves, who should drive up, but my cousins from Ct.... Has been a great time really, and now Marianne is off from school for Harvest till October 4th.. Then when she goes back to school, my neighbors from Ct should be arriving... lol.. and WHO said Maine is quiet??????? last night I was so tired, I took my crocheting up stairs, got in my night gown, sat in bed with a hot cup of tea.. watching Law and Order SUV, Mike was there rubbing my leg, had a candle burning, and was just totally relaxed, then came a clap of lightning, and up on the bed came my 2 Girls, Princess was a wreck, shaking so bad her teeth we actually chattering, I thought she was going to have a heart attack, so I ran down stairs, got HER lexapro.. tossed one down her throat..... got back in my nice warm bed, and then my Rotten Rottie felt unloved and she jumped up on the bed, now granted I lost weight, and am a size 10, and Mike has lost weight, but we have a queen size bed, and with a German Wolf about 80 lbs, and a Rotten Rottie about 120 lbs, that queen size bed gets awful small. So i flipped around to the foot of the bed and Kelly laid on Mikes feet, and Princess sat in my spot drooling. until her lexapro kicked in... Well don't ask me how with all this going on, but I actually fell asleep!! I woke up hugging Kelly about 2 am, and only cause Princess wanted out.. then of course I couldn't get back to sleep.... Gotta Love my dogs though, Patty fell in love with them too... They are sweet and obnoxious at times, a pain in the ass other times, but they are still my girls.... I went to the store today, and in the veggie aisle they had fresh spaghetti squa****hought hmmmmm, picked that baby up, bought some fresh tomato's, came home and started making spaghetti sauce, then I remembered that Karen, left me half a bottle of white zin, now I am not a big wine drinker, but man it made a great tomato sauce.. I finally got the squash right this time to, usually it is to mushy, but I cooked it slow today in a 300 degree oven for an hour and the forked pulled it out perfect... I also want to say, that I am praying for all you in the eye of Rita.. Please take care of yourselves... This one looks worse then Katrina does... Love you all Bunches, Me &

Hey Sweet Lady, AND when did you say you were flying in????? I do actually expect you for snow people time.... have just read your posts, your doing awesome, am proud of you.. I just downloaded fitday again too, winter is coming in, and I know me, I won't be outside to much, so want to slow down on the calories till spring.. When you get off your protein train, go for the spaghetti squash, you can eat a whole cup for 75 calories, and add some neat things to it, like chicken, or tomato's.... is so good, Marianne likes it with a little promise margarine and a bit of romano cheese too.. I feel a lot better giving her that then Kraft Mac and Cheese.. You take care of yourself.. and keep up the good work...

I will plan to come see you after the first of the year and before the snow quits! (When does it quit snowing there?) I have a calendar full from now until after the holidays but Jan / Feb / Mar are so dreary and I'm sure a couple snow people could brighten up my day! Carbs hate me; protein loves me. I wish I could do moderation ... but if I had been able to do that chances are I wouldn't be coming to make snowpeople with you in a few months! I'm glad you've downloaded fitday... now, just make those daily vows to stick to whatever plan works for you and maybe we'll just make skinny snowpeople who look like us! DeeDee

If you can fly into Presque Isle, that is the closest airport to us, and a very small one at that.. lol.. With all the snow up here, I think we will be able to make all size snow people.. lol... I did good yesterday I thought I blew it, but recovered nicely with 1250 calories for the day.. I have got to get back into this, it scares me that over the winter I will be subject to bon bon's and soap opera's.... lol.. was way easy this summer with all the fresh veggies up here, and the grill, I grilled out every night, so I had no problems, but this winter will be a bit tricky... In the winter drinking water is the furthest thing from my mind, so I switched back to the decaf coffee too.. got rid of my diet cokes, and will go on from there.... maintaining is pretty tough at times, but am doing ok, I just want to make sure I stay doing ok.... You have till the first of April for snow people making.. lol..

Well isn't it just great to see ya today!! Isn't Maine just wonderfully beautiful this time of the year.. We will be closing our cottage on the lake over the long weekend in October, it is always so sad for us all, but we don't have central heat and you can only imagine just how cold it can get in the Fall!!!! Glad to hear all is well. Sometimes is it just so hard to fit everything in a day.....especially now that we can do so much more than sit in front of the TV or computer. You just can't keep us down now...hooray Keep us posted whenever you can..we do miss you.

Rita, OMG it is so wonderful up here, I am really in my element up here, with all the wild life, and the honest and sweet mainiacs.. It must be hard to say good bye to the cottage.. We have had 2 frosts up here already, and the leaves are really starting to perk, against the pines and are so beautiful.. Have had the heat on in the mornings already, is kind of chilly getting out of the shower with out it on... lol Have seen some beautiful birds too, the yellow finches are so pretty, and the chickadee's are back, will be putting out the bird feeders this weekend, so they will have something to eat.. I have been doing a lot of crocheting I have 3 afghans almost done, and have made a couple of shrugs, so have been keeping busy with all that too. I bought some crochet thread, want to start making my little angels for the tree, and some snow flakes and some ornaments for it.. Got Marianne Cross Stitching, so she can have things to do too.. I worry about Mike this winter, I think he will be more addicted to his puter by the end of winter.... lol.... You have a wonderful day, and enjoy the rest of the time at the cottage....

I was just in Maine a few weeks ago. I went to Skowhegan to visit my mother.....my husband saw a house in Solon that he fell in love with. Wow! Real Estate is cheap up there.....of course, we are talking about central Maine...no coastline. If my husband has his way.....I will be living in Maine by next fall. I told him that it snows from October to May He's not listening.

LOL, Come on up here to Haynesville, population 124 people.. is quiet beautiful, and a whole lot of nature... we bought our place 3 acres and the house with 3 sheds and a river acrosss the street for 45,000. and the neighbor is selling us more acres in the spring.... for 3,000.. Is cheap up here, and the groceries even cheaper, never thought I would see ground beef for .99 a pound any more or chicken for .49 cents a pound... The only thing that will get you up here is the gas, and heating oil.. We have been getting ready for winter since we moved up here, so little by little we will get it.. Is nice when going into town is a big deal, we go once or twice a week.. the stores are 30 miles away, and the malls are about 2 hours away, we have 2 grocery stores a walmart, a department store called Mardens, and we just opened up our dollar store... The only regret I have about moving up here, is that we didn't do it sooner, the people up here are so sweet, and always willing to lend a helping hand, and always with a smile on their faces... Life is good up here.... So let him have his way, you won't be disappointed.... And if you are a crafter and plan it right you can make things over the snowy months for the craft fairs in the spring.. Is not boring up here in the winter either always something to do, from Winter Carnivals to Playing Poker there is something going on every weekend...

Your neighbor is having to sell their place because you planted bulbs all in their yard and they've taken over their land, right? Now, there's an idea I hadn't thought of before!! Love ya! DeeDee
