Help! I have a sinus infection

and probably the flu. I went to doc yesterday and she gave me Amoxicillin and Phenergan for nausea. I believe the Amoxicillin is making me vomit. My stomach is a mess! Are we not supposed to take antibiotics? Help! What should I be taking? Suggestions gladly accepted. I live in a very small town and the doctors here are not familiar with the surgery. I have a call into my surgeon 900 miles away to see what they say! But HELP! Thanks.

I just talked to my surgeon and I am not to be taking tablet Amoxicillin or any other kind for that matter. Only in suspension (liquid) form. So that answered that question.

I take amoxicillin and have for sinus infections since about 10-12 months out. I don't take time release capsules but pills I can break apart because they're so big. I was told to take them with milk or on a full stomach. Never take antibiotics on an empty stomach or you'll get sick. That's worked for me. Crackers or anything in my pouch before I add the antibiotic is better. I've done liquid form too - both work for me.
