I made it again yesterday but I got in more calories; 905 calories, 86 grams of protein, and 81 oz. of water.
Today I vow to:
? Keep my calories fewer than 1000.
? Drink a minimum of 64 oz. of water.
? Get more of my house ready for the bridal shower Saturday.
? Go to church instead of the gym tonight.
How did y'all do yesterday and what are you vowing to do today to stay on track with your plan?
Have a Wonderful Wednesday folks!!

Good Morning DeeDee!
I just have to say how proud I am of you! You are doing remarkable!
Look at all the water you have been getting in and the high protein count. So a few extra calories than you wanted, but it's not all the time.
You are making wise choices and that's commendable. Not everyone can get more than 64oz.of liquid in. I know I struggled w/it for the longest time, but for some reason I'm able to now. I guess we find ways when we are determined. Before my emergency surgery the end of Jan. I would just about get the 64oz. in. I stuck to my surgeons rule of drinking an hour after each meal. I was truly faithful with that one. Since he had to remove my band (yes I am a RNY-er-band is added too)
I don't have that real full feeling like before and can get more in now. Also I had to switch doctors because of new Insurance not covering Bariatric Surgeons at all, not even for after care. I had to find a GI doctor to care for me. He told me to drink w/my meals. I told him I was told NOT to. He said 'TRUST' me, drink. It was very frightening to me to follow his orders, but I decided he is my doctor and knows what's best. That's why I feel I can get in more water now.
I use to see others that had the same surgery, drink w/their meals, and asked myself why they weren't doing what they were told? I am learning not to judge what others decide to do. I sure don't want to be judged.
Didn't mean to go on so long about that. I'm the type of person that always is explaining myself. I'm getting better at it though.
Anyway, I did well yesterday w/my plan. I got in 116grms. of Protein, 125oz. of Water and 30mins. on the Treadmil. I got a bit anxious last night about some things that are going on right now and had some nuts.
I realized that I ate them out of emotions and even though they were a better choice than having some bad carbs, the fact of the matter is I ate when I didn't need to. I have to eat to live not live to eat or to mask feelings that I don't want to deal with. I am learning and doing better than I was. I just want to cope w/things that are upsetting to me in a more productive way. Food can't keep being my coping mechanisim. (sp?) I'm not beating myself up over it, I just want to grow from it. I have come to far and I will master this addiction.
Thanks to all who help me stay accountable and for the great support.
Today my goal is to:
1.Get up to 100gms. of Protein.
2.Get in approx. 100oz. of H2o.
3.Do 30mins. on The Treadmill. -Done
4.Read what I have to for tonights class at church.
5.Meet w/friend for lunch.
6.Cope and deal better w/things that I am going through.
7.Be more loving towards my poor hubby.
I already got my exercise in and had 22grms. of Protein and 45oz. of Water.
Have a Blessed day everyone!

Dee Dee,
I first became interested in ASL when my two year old (hearing) grandson learned signs in speech therapy. (We had to learn signs so we could understand him). I then became curious about teaching babies and toddlers to sign and bought some books on the topic. This summer, I began showing my granddaughter a few signs. She caught on so quickly that I found myself running out of signs. I decided to add sentences to our signs, but did not want to teach her incorrect sentence structure so I began looking for ASL classes. My main goal was to teach her to sign but in turn I have become addicted.. It is such a beautiful language!! I dont know what I'll do with it in the future.. but I do live fairly close to AIDB (Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind) so the possibilities are limitless.
When another granddaughter was born (Friday), her two year old sister introduced their parents to the new baby in signs. Research shows that infants can sign long before they can talk so I'm wondering if she will communicate early using signs.
