Doc's Response to "Protein Train"

Yep, kind of like I did with my daughter's pediatrician. He says milk only for the first 6 months and I figured whenever he wanted to come over and feed her every two hours at night he could make that call... otherwise, she's getting cereal added to her nightly bottle. And 27 years later she has survived and is healthy! DeeDee

I am sure glad I found this board and all of you who are on it! You motivate me daily and for that -- I THANK you!! If I had been getting in more protein all along, I would have probably reached goal long before now, but since my surgery almost three years ago, I was just eating whatever I wanted, just smaller amounts. I lost 82 pounds that way. But now it's not so easy to lose the last of my pounds, so I just started this past June getting in my 60-80g protein each day. Stupid of me to wait so long.... But better late than never I guess. But thank you -- all of you for helping me stay motivated. I feel a challenge to do it right so I can reach my goal. And I will... 13 more pounds!

Good luck with those last 13 pounds. Part of me wants to think I'm on the downhill slope but I've seen enough longer term post ops to know the real work is just beginning!! DD
