You've beat yourself up enough, we don't need to add to the lashing. Your comment that it could have been about the Rootbeer may be more valid than you think. After all when we eat sweets, 2 hours later the blood sugar drops again setting us up for sweet/carb cravings. I think the urge is greater in some people than others. Today is a new day, hope it goes better for you.

By now I am sure you have picked your head up...you are not a bad person, you made a choice to eat a Swiss Roll (what is it? do they have it in the midwest? never mind, you don't need to relive it). Telling yourself that you need to throw in the towel because you went off your plan, and beating yourself up for the choice is going back to the old tapes that played over and over in our heads...you know the ones negative, nasty, we are worthless, ugly, will never be thin. If you recognize your triggers you can either avoid them all together or find ways to confront them and deal...you clearly know how to do this, and likely today you are back on board with your commitment. It's all about planning, and awareness, and inner knowledge combined with strength that will get you to be and keep you reasonable, healthy and comfortable. I am finished commenting on the Protein Train as a temporary solution...I am in touch with my inner "whatever works" as the right choice. So, godspeed passengers aboard the Protein Train...take the express and avoid the Swedish home of "Swiss Roll-ville", population: oops!
