Blood Sugar??
I too have had this problem during the last couple of months. I thought I was starting menapause (I'm 46) as I have also had hot flashes/night sweats. I mentioned it to my nut the last time I saw her. She's the one that told it it could be the start of menapause but it sounded like low blood sugar to her. I had not been checking my sugar levels in ages as it had been doing so well.
Anyway, the next episode I had, I checked my sugar levels and it was 42! 70 - 100 is normal. The nutrionist recommended eating 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich before bedtime to try to avoid the night sweats and hot flashes during the night. This has worked pretty well.
I am still having episodes of sugar levels around 40...38-42. I drink 2 ounces of orange juice to get it back up, then eat some protein to help keep it up.
Who would've thought a year after surgery and high blood levels, that it would now be an issue with it so low!
