Home sweet home!
Hi friends! I just returned home from the east coast of Florida today. I'm clicking my shoes together and chanting "there is no place like home". I am feeling great and actually it was probably a very good thing that I was stuck over there with nothing to do--as my doc insists that resting up is the most important thing toward recovering from plastics. He believes that seromas and such are frequently caused by overdoing it.
I have been a really good patient and my husband has been an awesome caretaker. I really wasn't sure he had it in him--but he did great. Of course, now that we are home, his attention seems to be drawn elsewhere--hmm the golf course, which we overlook and just reopened, for one. That's fine for me as now I can lay in my bed and watch tv and play on teh computer at the same time. I have my trash barrell, my drink, my protein bars and my pain pills all within reach.
I think my tummy really looks good--considering it was just cut open--lol. I got my first real look today and then came home and looked at pre-op photos to remind me--oh yes--much improvement!
Thanks everyone for all your great emails and support--it really meant a lot. My husband was stunned at all the support. Now he gets why I spend so much time here. Take care all and thanks again.
Welcome Home Sweety!
Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. There's no place like home for sure to recover in.
I remember what great care my husband was to me w/all my surgeries. The guy is a Saint to have put up w/me. As you know my revisions are coming up on Nov.4th. He will have another opportunity to take care of me. HeHe......Oh joy!
Still take it easy now that you're home. You still need lots of rest even if you are feeling good. It will catch up w/ya if you don't. Trust me!
How do your arms look/feel? What is your date to have the brachio done? Any new news on your breasts? Keep us updated Lynda.
Give a hollar if ya need anything or just want to talk.
Jeannie
Hi jeannie--I feel great--just tire easily and am trying to pay attention to my doc. The brachio will be the last procedure I have done-that way it gives the lipo's areas time to recover. Hopefully I will hear about the breasts soon. I'm still getting over looking at my mammo with a big red square drawn around an area. Dense breast--just like dense me--haha!
It is really weird being in the position of being taken care of as opposed to the caretaker. November will be here before you know it. Thanks for all your support.
Sounds like you are doing wonderful!!! That is super news!!
I have been thinking about you and reading the updates. Sounds like DH has been wonderful. I know as great as my DH is, it only lasts for 4 or 5 days.
Make sure you take some pictures so we can see how fab your tummy looks!!!
Once I get these pounds that I put on back off, nothing is going to stop me from getting a tummy tuck. NOTHING! Yup, even DH.
Glad you are home!!!
