Day two on the protein train went well. I had 10.2 oz. of dense protein, 1 sugar-free Jell-O, and 90 oz. of water. That gave me 76 grams of protein and 736 calories for the day. Today I vow to do my third day on the protein train: ? Eat 15 oz. or less of dense protein (see plateau busting plan below) ? Drink a minimum of 80 oz. of water ? Don't blow it at lunch with my co-workers today! (Surely a catfish place will have broiled catfish and not just fried?) ? Start working on my house for next Saturday's bridal shower brunch I'm hosting ... and calling all the folks who didn't Rsvp by the deadline yesterday. (sigh... whatever happened to etiquette?) How did you do with your vows yesterday? What are you vowing to do today? I know everyone isn't doing the protein train and that's fine --- just tell us what your doing to have a successful day! DeeDee ======================================== Do this for 10 days to break plateau 1) Drink 2 quarts of water a day 2) You must have 45 grams of protien supplement and all your vitamin & mineral supplements each day 3) you may consume up to 3 oz. of the following high-protein foods, 5 times a day: ? beef ? pork ? chicken ? turkey ? lamb ? fish ? eggs ? low-fat cheese ? cottage cheese ? plain yougurt or artificially sweetetened ? peanut butter ? beans/legumes You may also have: ? sugar free popsicles ? tea or coffee ? sugar free sodas ? sugar free jello ? broths and bullions ? crystal lite drinks 4) IF IT IS NOT ON THE LIST YOU CANNOT HAVE IT FOR 10 DAYS 5) Keep a food diary and get up to 30 minutes of exercise daily.

G'morning DeeDeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Speaking of ettiquette? Where the heck is MY INVITE?!? Hmmmm? Can't expect this blonde to RSVP if she never got the invite, ya know? VOWS, vows, vows.... lessee, I vow to ...well, no....I probably won't do that one, okay... how about... uh, nah... it has to be stuff we're really gonna do, huh? Okay - I'll be serious for a second. Water -- 150 oz. Protein Supp's 75 gr. (I mentioned my nails are growing again, right?) Protein Foods 30 to 40 gr. Calories - 1500 Max Exercise - [sigh] ...yes yes the treadmill again today. Also, I need to get out of this DAY DREAM Land Ive been in since I got back from Vacation. Keep looking at my pictures and wanting to move back to Oklahoma - so today, I vow NOT to look at 'em and get my butt outside in the fresh air, run some errands, go tan, grab a bite to eat and maybe even go up to the boardwalk for a brisk walk. (notice the "maybe" disclaimer). Have a great weekend - Lei

Hey lady, you're not fooling me! You want an invite to the party because Mississippi would be a great half-way point to Oklahoma. Stop over, spend the night, grab some bridal shower brunch and head off to OK country! Sounds like a plan to me! We could sneak down to Beale Street Friday night and get some good bar-b-q and listen to the street musicians. I'm still envious you get in 150 oz. of water. I ended up getting 90 oz. yesterday with the last 30 oz. being about 9 PM ... and I ended up getting up half the night which I so hate. So, today I HAVE to drink earlier in the day. "Maybe" puts the basis of doubt right in the statement ya know! Good luck today. DD

Hi Jeannie, You're a good trooper! I've finished off 30 oz. of water and I'm working on my first 3 oz. of protein for the day. I have to go to a luncheon today with my co-workers at a little backwoods catfish restaurant. I'm so hoping they prepare catfish in some other way other than fried. But this is the south and that may not be very likely. I'm just going to do the best I can and avoid the fries and slaw that always comes with it! Good luck --- check with you later. DD

Sorry to hear about your leg. Please be careful with NO carbs ... I normally end up hurting myself with no carbs because I don't have enough muscle energy to function. Up to 30 minutes on the treadmill ... you go!

Hey Julieeeeeeeeeeeee! How ya been? Good to hear from ya! Oh trust me the pulled muscle wasn't from the lack of Carbs. I had enough in my system to last a month.LOL.... Anyway, yesterday was my first day on the protein train. I did a lot of walking in the stores the day before and I had tall heeled boots on. That's what I think did it.HeHe... Thanks for your concern though. This is only for 10 days. I don't think it will hurt me any. In fact, it's exactly what I need to detox from all the bad carbs I was consuming. I will put good carbs back in. Well, hope you're doing well and I'll talk w/ya later. Jeannie

It's amazing how focused I can be when I know I have to account to someone. Yesterday went well; I drank 80 oz. of water and got in 140 grams of protein. (Nectar protein helps me keep the calories really low and push the protein very high). I'd forgotten how well protein helps curb my appetite. I kept thinking all day, "I should be hungry by now, but I'm not." I'm very motivated this morning and have already put down 34 oz. of water with 23 grams of protein in it. I'd love to weigh myself but I promised not to, until after 5 days which will be Monday morning. This weekend, I'll need prayer and determination as I'm hosting a big family cook out to celebrate our daughter's graduation from college. That could be tough! I think I'll buy a good steak to put on the grill for myself..that should keep me full and away from the other stuff. Thanks Dee Dee! You're awesome. Keep posting the guidelines; they're a great help! Julie
