Working out is a big key ... and like I told Lei, that is an OPPORTUNITY machine, not an evil machine! Good luck to you today! DD

I have already had one protein drink, my vitamins, a plum and 20 oz of decaf coffee. I vow to do NO white carbs today at all and keep calories below 2000. Since I am nursing an injured left knee, can't do exercise today though. Baby steps.....

Ohhhh, can I empathize with the knee! I had my surgery the last day of January and had knee surgery the first of May. It certainly confirmed how much slower weight loss is without exercise. I hope it gets better quickly. Good luck with your vows today! DD

I can't wait to be at a low enough weight that a horse doesn't run scared when he sees me coming with a riding crop in my hand! Good luck with your vows today. DD

Mornin Dee Dee, Have I mentioned lately that I adore you? Yesterday was the best day I have had in months but it was NOT perfect! BUT, I believe I can still be proud of what I accomplished. I also went to the store ang bought protein items like chicken, turkey, ham and cheese. Yummy! Today I vow: To be better then yesterday. To get at least 65 ounces of water/liquid in. To get at least 60 gm of protein in. To AVOID Oreos!!!!!! This is a start, not perfect but it is a start. Next week I start back at the gym. I even ran in to a gal I work out with, she says she has missed my humor and my up beat attitude. That made me smile BIG time! Now I am even more excited to go back! Theresa, I'm so grateful that you mentioned the protein train! I've never actually tried to do this before but by golly I just need to finally make it to the century club!! Even though I'm a WLS grad I got held back a year by having to re-do the surgery because of a staple line disruption. Yesterday was so awesome to actually remember that the pouch is small and when I eat dense meats I don't consume nearly as many calories. You did great too --- and I know you're determined to hang in there with us and that's what counts. And getting back to the gym will be a huge bonus to accomplishing whatever you want. Thanks again for recommending this and I look forward to all of us posting big successes in the next week and beyond! DD

I have a question. I noticed the times that were indicated on your messages to the board. They are in the early a.m. Does anyone else have a problem sleeping at night or sleeping for more than a few hours. I think my seratonin levels are at an all-time low since surgery! Marilyn R.

Sorry, I just answered my own question. I see by my reply that the boards are 3 hours behind my time. Marilyn

This is my check in. I already had 2 protein shakes @35grms.each. (I know we only absorb 1/2 the amt. because it's liquid) and approx. 2 1/2 oz. of tuna. 40oz. of water. I have a question DeeDee. How many total grms. of protein are we supposed to have. I thought it to mean-45 grms.of supplents ie.shakes/bars. plus 3oz. of what is on the list 5x's per day. I haven't done the treadmill yet. I just got in from helping my friend out. I am planning on unpacking then getting on it. I will check back in again later. Jeannie Chooooo Chooooo!!!!
