Hey all, I swear I posted this morning but don't see it anywhere. Maybe I was half asleep. Anyway... I could not commit to the protein train today. Weighed at WW tonight and was up 0.6 pound. The instructor said in response to my "darn the luck"- "This is not luck, this is work." That really struck me because I have been just flying by the seat of my pants and somehow I need to get serious. I start out each day with a plan and my willpower just goes out the window. I did walk 6 miles again yesterday and plan on it tommorrow too. Have written a food plan but sooo afraid of just giving in. The lecture at WW was on urges and cravings and talked about all the things we know-- substituting healthier food choices or activities, getting calm if we are eating out of anxiety etc etc. All good things to be reminded of but when I get nuts I just feel so out of control. I really wanna whip 5 pounds off as my scale has been stagnant for a long time but I can't do it without effort. I think very slowly I am beginning to get to the place I need to be to be willing to do what I need to do if that makes any sense. So congrats all those on the protein train. Think I will just focus on WW points for now but was also thinking five protein shakes a day would be 20 pts and I am allowed 22 so i may do that after a while. Anyway thanks for listening and being there. Lucy

Lucy!! I'm so glad to see you --- I missed you this morning!! You don't have to jump on the protein train to keep your vows with us each morning. You just vow to do whatever works for you. Hang in there lady - you're perfectly capable of getting those 5 pounds to vanish with your WW plan! DeeDee

Be careful with WW. I tried it for a while and ended up getting sick and run down. They emphasize fruits and veggies and fiber and protein has more points so... I was staying within my points, but found I wasn't getting enough protein, so I ended up feeling tired all the time, retaining water like crazy, putting on weight and ended up going to the doctor. I got away from WW, upped my protein, doc prescribed water pills, and I started losing and feeling much better. Just be careful!
