Yeppers they denied it .. went into this with open mind that it could and probably would happen .. for craps sakes ... 15 months ago they ( Ins Co ) Spent 56,000 $$ to do the GB proceedure .. there reasoning was it was not medically necessary . Ok .. I am fine with that .. life goes on .. And to tell you the truth.. the more I work out .. the less I think I need it . Yea.. I got some skin .. but hey .. I am healthy as an OX .. and I look and feel great .. and that is what matters . And my body image is so much better than before . I have a new boyfriend who is awesome .. and tells me .. it is me he likes.. my insides .. not the outside .. and ya know what yall .. it feels good to be where I am in life .. Many would be sad .. but I am not .. I am 180 pounds lighter .. in a great relationship .. kids are great .. the denial is just merely a small bump in my street .. Love yall ! Nat

I am totally awed by your postive outlook! WTG! I'm also amazed that after losing 180 pounds that you don't have medical skin issues...but if you don't WOOHOO!

Hey Nat, There is always the appeals process, but sounds like you're in a good place now, emotionally and you're ok with the denial. I'm glad things are going well for ya! Can't wait to meet your new man. Wendy

G'morning NAT!!!!!!! So glad to see you posting here, although your post kinda sucks! Well, wait, your post doesnt suck - your attitude is AWESOME, I just wish you'd gotten better news from the insurance company. MAJOR CONGRATS on keeping it POSITIVE!!!!!!!! LOL, you're a much better woman then ME! Although I absolutely expected a denial on the arm lift (bat-wing-ectomy) I sure wasn't positive about it when it happened. Your outlook on it all is so much more helpful and beneficial in the long run. I'm trying SO HARD nowadays to just let stuff roll off of me more. LIFE IS ONE BIG CELEBRATION and if I let the bumps along the way get me down, Im too busy dwelling on the negatives and missing out on all the positives. GOOD FOR YOU! .....your attitude is awesome. It's a damn shame it's not contagious, I know a few people who could USE a dose of it - in truck load quantities! Hugs - Lei

I'm with you -- the more I work out, the better I look. I've lost over 200 lbs and no medical issues with skin. And as time goes on, the skin shrinks a little and looks better. Of course I don't expect miracles, but I think I can live with the results. Especially since my insurance doesn't pay for PS. And even if they did, PS is still more surgery, scars, and dangerous (as is any major surgery). Deb
