Hi all, Got back last night from my 12-day marathon train trip across Canada with my family. The scenery was gorgeous, like out of a picture postcard. Then back to Texas and reality, temperatures in the 90's. One of the best things about the trip is that my weight is about the same as when I left almost 2 weeks ago. I had been worried, as the food was as wonderful as the scenery. I did do some cardio and strength training while I was gone---took a walk-away-the-pounds DVD and a portable DVD player as well as one of those stretchy band things with handles. Some of the hotels had fitness centers, weights, etc. I did allow myself a few treats, a few bites of carbs or desserts here and there, but I also concentrated on protein. Thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes for a good trip, it was great to spend so much time with my family, especially my elderly parents. So what have I missed?? Hugs, Connie -147# still @ goal

Ohhhhh... I'm jealous! I'll bet it was gorgeous up there. We went to the Cleveland Ohio area (just across Lake Erie from Canada) for a nine-day trip over Labor Day and I can empathize with you having to come back to hot temps (I'm in Mississippi). Sounds like you did a fantastic job of staying on track - good for you! I don't think you missed anything other than the heat. Personally, I'm quite ready for fall to show up. Welcome home! DeeDee

Connie, You are such an angel. I am so looking forward to tomorrw - I NEVER thought I would say those words about exercising. Iknow what you mean about coming back to reality - I didn't want to come back from Maine because of our lovely weather. I wish I could transport the weather up there to here - at least til winter hits. Patty
