I'm not doing so hot this week

Hey there, Well, I was doing well, had lost 4lbs in one week ... but felt really tired and such so decided I was over doing it .... probably needed to eat more ... but I just haven't been able to get on track this week. Sooo, the 4lb loss showed up at my Thursday weigh-in ... but on my normal Sunday weigh-in, 3 of the 4 were back ... so it wasn't real. It's just not worth feeling as bad as I was to keep going. I meet with my surgeon next MONDAY and I really wanted to be the 'right' weight . I'll feel better after a while .... just needed to vent. Thanks all, Julie

Good news folks. After I posted, I went back and logged my food. Other than not drinking enough, I didn't do so badly ... under 1000 each day (Sunday and Monday).

Be careful about not eating enough. I know that sounds backwards, but I actually have more difficulty maintaining my weight when I eat too little. Apparently my body believes itself to be starving to death, clings to every bite I put in my mouth, and my weight goes up. I do much better if I stay between 1200-1400 calories per day which allows for adequate protein (bars, drinks) etc. along with my meals.

Not drinking enough of the right fluids, and eating too little can slow and even reverse my weight---even now. Gotta remember while I "watch" what I eat, I don't diet. This is a life change, not a diet. I don't count calories, I'm aware of my levals----from protein to fat. Please do not "diet" the way you did before, change your eating to go along with the bariatric life. Good luck, Bek
