A fresh fig tastes nothing like a fig newton. Fig newtons are too sweet, fresh figs are awesome! Michawn

Hi Tooter, I have been wanting fig newtons for so long. I can't wait for you to come out with a sf recipe for them (newtons, cookies...all the same). Do figs give the same benefit as plums by replacing the fat? I am always looking in the store for them, hoping that they would come out with one. Funny, with all the crap I ate, I never ate a newton. I am trying hard not to have so much crap and sf goodies. They give me gas terribly. I know, I know TMI. I did good yesterday and the day before. I also walked some. I am taking it one meal at a time cause Lord knows, I will probably screw up if I think any further ahead. I'll be looking for the recipe. ((hugs)) Joanne

You are a brave soul to confess this on ANY board. I must confess tho that every few months I buy a pack of Fig Newtons and eat two or three a day until they are gone. I just finished up a pack tonight. First ones I've bought for about six months I think.
