Hi Linda, I am so glad you are feeling better about using your surgeon. It is very scary but we have to trust in our surgeons, no matter what the operation. Yesterday you commented about being curious of the OH connection. This I think I can answer for you. OH wants to be able to give us resources from beginning to end and even beyond. For a majority of WLS patients plastics is still part of the journey. When I went to the LA convention a year ago I sat in and listened to a talk from Dr Katz, he was amazing. I learned so much about the process on different types of PS. I would highly recommend anyone that could go to one of these type of talks to go. Another thing to consider is that not all plastic surgeons can do a great job on those of us that have had WLS, we come with things unique to only those that have lost dramatic amounts of weight. Because of this, I think it is great that some surgeons are willing to sign up with OH, it lets potential patients know that they have experience with our type. I hope this explanation helped some. BTW, sorry about what ever is going on with your breasts, I'll be sending good thoughts your way. Hugsss Theresa

Hi Lynda! Best of luck with the TT and lipo Tuesday! You will be in my thoughts and prayers for an easy recovery! Sorry you can't get everything done at once like you would have liked to do, but in the the long run, it will probably be for the best. I hope everything turns out ok with the Mammo results. I've had some abnormal results and had myself scared to death, but it turned out ok in the end ~ just had to go every 6 months for a while. Eileen

Just a thought about how different this whole WLS experience is. I've been a nurse for about 1,000 years and am very conservative medically (ONLY medically!) and I remember all kinds of alarms going off when I learned that I'd have to go to a seminar by the surgeons for my RNY. And they had a WEB SITE??? I still refuse to go to a doctor who advertises for heaven's sake! When I was sitting in this big auditorium at the hospital where the surgery was done I thought it was crazy - although I was quite impressed by the surgeon and the good information I was getting and what really kept me going was my neice who'd had the surgery done by the same group - a very well respected group. And of course now I know that's how this is done. (My care by the group and the hospital was impeccable.) So to have a plastic surgeon use OH shouldn't be so strange I guess. So, GO LYNDA GO!! Bette

Lynda, Congrats on your upcoming surgery! I can't wait to hear how well everything went. I am going to have a panni in May or June; I was approved in late August. I can't wait! Let me know what to expect and KNOW that I am praying for you to have a most successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Love, hugs, and happiness, Tammy

Hi Lynda So this is where all you people are hanging out I lost most of you guys and thought I said or did something. It is nice to see yours as well as a few of the older post ops on here, I also see you are going in for PS on Tuesday and wanted to send happy thoughts for you and a speedy recovery. I just had my second PS on Wednesday and had the upper body lift done as well as inner thigh's, it is painful but getting better everyday. The Dr cut off 6 more pounds of skin from me so that makes a total of 21 1/2 pounds of skin from my two PS. Anyway enough about me but wanted to say HI and also good luck on your PS. Hi Tony! I actually went looking for you on other boards that I know you frequent in order to tell you about this board. Thanks so much for the good wishes. I will definitely have happy thoughts. Tony--you have done so well with this wls thing--truly you are an inspiration to everybody having or wanting to have surgery. I'm just really happy for you. Are you all done with your plastics now? I have heard the inner thigh thing is really painful and difficult to recup from. Take care and don't forget to stop on by again. This is really a great board with great people and you would fit right in.

Hey Lynda thanks for looking for me but I have been so busy this summer that I have not been on much, I do read some of the other board stuff but not everyday. Its funny because two years ago I would of had lots of time on my hands but not now being thinner. It took me 7 months for the insurance company to approve me for my second PS as I was turned down 3 times but I kept at them till they gave in. I am done now as far as I know and this one is so much harder than the first but I knew this going into it. I hope you do well with your PS as well as your other testing and I am sure you will. Now that I know where everyone is I will stop by and hang out more often, also let me know how you do with your PS as well as everything else. Tony

Good luck on your TT. I had mine in January 05. I am scared to do my arms and legs as I have seen some of the scars, but I am also tired of doing the double wave. Good luck, I would do the TT again in a heart beat. They took 8 lbs. of skin off.
