Hi Everyone Now that I am fast approaching my one year anniversary I thought I would ask all you "graduates" a taste question. Remember way back when --when you were all new to being WL Losers how your taste buds changed?? I was wondering does this continue way past our one year anniversary from months to years? Hope everyone has a Happy and SAFE Labor Day Weekend and that all friends and loved ones of all of us here who were in the path of Katrina are safe and out of harms way. Hugs Marianne

My sense of taste returned somewhere around the 9th month. That was when things started to taste normal again. But... my taste "for" things changes all the time. What I like today, may repulse me tomorrow. WP

Hi Marianne! My taste buds returned to normal at about 6 months but, as WP said, my taste for things changes. I buy something because I simply must have it - can be anything from a peach to a salad dressing. I eat it once or twice and then, honestly, I couldn't choke it down again on a bet. Some things that I never ate before are now staples of my diet - like yogurt and eggs. Go figure. I don't dump (good news, bad news) but there are some things that hit my mouth and I KNOW that they will come up if I eat them. I just try to stay in touch with my bod and hope for the best. Judi

I think as a new post-op every day was a new day -now it's more like every week's a new week. Keeps us on our toes! Bette
