Oh my Go****urned 40 yesterday I had a great day. I think I have had a mid-life crisis I bought a convertable. Went blonde and went and got a tattoo. Now that I have had my crisis what is next. I would love to hear what great things I can do now. I think this could be the best of my life. my concept is I am a butterfly this is the new me. I am down 140 lbs and can do so many things I couldn't do in my 20's and 30's. conni

Sounds to me like you've already found out what to do next. Get on with living............... Life is so wonderful as a post-op, it seems every day brings new growth and endless ways to spend money. I have often used the butterfly theme to describe what's going on with me as a post-op so I can relate to where you are today. Have fun! The saying "life begins at 40" really applies doubly for wls patients.

Now what? Enjoy the rest of your life, of course!!!!!! I too am down 140 pounds and life is so much better than when I was 40 or even 50. What a beautiful butterfly you became, too! I get mistaken for being my infant grandson's mother and my daughter's sister (I'm 30 years older than her!). That would never have happened 3 years ago. I get up every morning and not only feel good physically but mentally as well. Life is no longer dragged down by my weight and other health issues. Enjoy and have joy! Ann (who just turned 55 last week!)

you go gurl...this was the BEST Time of my life...and it was also when I decided to have gastric bypass. I too had my "midlife crisis" ...I realized that I didnt want to die fat...something just clicked in me and said...YOU MUST DO SOMETHING NOW! Isnt it funny how our minds work? Anyway, I am so happy for you and I am glad you are able to do all those things. GOD IS SO GOOD! Happy BELATED BIRTHDAY! You have a second chance...PLEASE ENJOY! Hugs Christmas Baby...I feel your joy....

I am having a great time. I got a tag for my car that says my mid life crisis. My tattoo is a butterfly. I used to get depressed on my birthday but this year i am having a celebration. I think this is going to be a great time in my life.

I had my mini-mid-life crisis at 38! I bought a sports car that I can only drive 5-6 months out of the year then have to garage it and make payments! My little place cover says, "If you're gonna ride my azz - you better be pullin' my hair!" I love it! Now all you have to do is just get on with gettin on and it will be sooo much fun!
