I'm just over 2 years out and here lately no matter what I eat I feel like crap for a couple of hours! If I'm at home, I find myself curling up in bed to sleep off the ill effects. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat -- just the fact that I eat that makes me feel like hell!!!
I've also noticed my energy level is zilch. Although I'm motivated, within an hour I've got to sit down and "recoup!" What in the hell is going on here!?
Anyone else going through anything similar??? What in the hell is it!??
I agree Tracy--an appointment with the doc is def. in order. I know I am gonna regret typing this--but I have not had a cold since surgery. Jumping around trying to find wood in the airport to knock on. Here is another conclusion I have sort of come to---those of you who get truly skinny after this surgery tend to be the ones who food seems to disagree with. Hope you get to the doc and get things checked out soon.

Truly skinny!?!? God I love you!
I haven't had so much as a cold since I started WLS -- however I've always had a problem with certain foods. But here lately -- it's with ALL foods! Even my "crack" was giving me fits this morning and I wanted to hurl (but didn't). I have fewer problems with protein than I do veggies, and veggies are way better than carbs (any carb now gives me the jitters and drains me -- potatoes, sweets, breads [including THIN crust on pizza]). For about 3 weeks now, nothing has sit well at all! I've tried "softening" my diet for a few days -- but that honestly hasn't helped! I'm getting frustrated as hell at this point because I know I need to put food in my body -- but every time I do, I've got to sit still and let the "crap" feeling pass. This so reminds me of the "negative reinforcements" I got from sweets -- but the problem with this -- everything is now making me sick and I cannot just stop eating altogether!
I'm actually UP 6 lbs. from my lowest weight (I was up 9-10 depending on that time of the month) -- but still squarely within my goal "range." I want to drop the gain before it has an effect on my clothing size (still in a 6/8 and some 10's - but most comfortable in an 8). But I damned sure don't want to keep having food issues in the process.
I was curious if anyone else was having problems with food this far out... after all, weren't we told it got BETTER with time???

My fluids are fine -- no problems getting that down or the quantity. I probably get between 100-120 oz. down on an average day and when I'm really active about 200 oz. I pee all day long too! I'll call my PCP in the morning and have my labs run -- it's been a while - time to check up on things anyway!
I'm almost 14 months out, 141 pounds lost.
I've had problems the last 2 months or so with very low sugar levels. It makes me sick/queasy in my tummy and no energy. It's been as low as 38-40.
You definitely need to have some blood work done to make sure something is not wrong with some of your levels.
Good luck!
