I have a busy weekend getting the house cleaned up after the installation of the custom shelves in my sewing room. Did you know it is impossible for construction guys to sand without the "dust" getting in EVERY room in the house? The shelves look fabulous but I sure have a LOTS of work to do as a result. We leave town next weekend for 9 days and when we return I am giving a bridal shower so I'm going to be working my rear off (not that it doesn't need it) this weekend.
This weekend I vow to:
? Eat fewer than 1000 calories per day
? Be sure to log everything into fitday
? Drink a minimum of 80 oz of water per day
? Exercise will be housework this weekend
I hope you all have great plans for the weekend. I went to see Michael Buble Live at the Garden last night (yes, in 90°+ heat outdoors!) and it was a fabulous start to the weekend.
What are you planning to vow for this weekend? And who's planning to just slack this weekend and not make any committments?

Well, I'm back from my little get away. I did pretty good w/my eating while away, but didn't get any exercise in. We did go to the beach and fought off a sand storm. So that was exercise..LOL...I also went to bend down to wash the sand off my hands and the top of my bathing suit came undone and I caught it just in time before I was exposed. two young surfers went by and saw what happend and just grinned at me. Boy they would've got an eye full if I hadn't grabed the top in time.LOL....I had to giggle about it. Now if this had happend when I was MO, I would have been mortified!
Today hubby and I plan on dinner and bowling w/friends. So bowling will be my exercise.
You will get your exercise in w/housecleanning for sure DeeDee. That will be a lot of work. I know when hubby did some repairs to ceiling and one wall that was damaged from the hurricanes, there was dust all over everyting from the sanding and smoothing process. That is quite a chore.
But, at least you have your nice new cabinets now.
Did you get my response about taking over while you are away?
Anyway, here are my committments:
1.Get ALL my water in.
2.Get ALL my protien in.
3.Eat SLOWER!
4.NO Emotional eating.
5.Have fun w/hubby and friends.

I'm glad you had a good, and not TOO revealing , get away. Bowling sounds like a lot more fun exercise today than what I'm doing - I'm jealous.
I did get your response about keeping up the vows while I'm gone --- maybe you can get some folks motivated to join in on weekends. Thanks for volunteering. I'm going to be gone Sept. 2nd - 12th so if you'll post those days I will appreciate it. I need to make a long trip vow. Mostly that I won't eat any types of carbs/sweets that give me GAS. My dad, his wife, and his sister are going to be in the vehicle on those LONG driving days and I can get away with "letting go" with TJ but not a car full of folks! YIKES!

Hi Dee--Sure is quiet here. I made absolutely no vows this week-end. I leave really early tomorrow morning to return my son for his senior year at college. Gosh I have loved having him home for the summer. Just like old times with the whole family here. I have done great on my eating until tonight. I am jsut very hungry. I think it is because dinner got stuck on it's way down so I didn't eat hardly anything.
Have fun cleaning. I remember when we resanded our floors in the old house--there was dust everywhere. Have a great rest of your week-end!

It is quiet this weekend! What's Josh studying at college? Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow up?
I've stuck to my vows today and I have most of the house dusted and put back in order. Honestly, I closed off every room I could close off and the rooms all still got dusty! I guess I should have turned off the air conditioner to keep it from going through the vents but I'm afraid my construction guy would have quit the project as hot as it has been in Mississippi.
Have a great rest of the weekend and I hope you have a good trip tomorrow even if it does have a tad bit of sadness attached to it.

Hey Lynda,
I'm glad you had an awesome summer w/your son. I know it will be hard for awhile adjusting to him being gone again. You will miss him for sure. I know you will fill your time up w/other things soon enough. It won't replace time spent w/him, but will fill the void somewhat. Do ya think maybe your being hungry last night also might have been contributed to the fact that you knew he was leaving today? Emotional hunger gets to us too. We all struggle w/it. It's also understandable. We're human and we all want comfort. I hope you find it today in a healthy way. My prayers are w/you Lynda.

Where's the "pat yourself on the back" emoticon? I have kept my vows for today. I had 894 calories; 83 gm protein, 37 gm fat, 58 gm carbs, and 80 oz. of water... all logged in fitday. I have more than half the house cleaned from the sawdust and will set up my new sewing room after church tomorrow.

I can't patcha on the back, but I can . I think being busy really helps us not focus on food much. Determination 'NOT TO' also is a great deterant. You are having a very successful weekend and I'm sure today you will do just as well.
I, on the other hand, ate out of some emotions last night. Ughhhh!!! And just before bed. I know better!!!! Okay, today is another day and I WILL NOT eat anything out of my emotions today so help me God!
I am doing excellent on everything else so I'm not going to beat myself up over this. We all struggle w/this and that is why we are here to be accountable and to help one another.
Today I will continue to:
1.Get ALL my H2o in.
2.Get ALL my Protien in.
I already committed to stay clear of emotional eating and I will try to get some exercise in. Maybe that will help clear my head some.
I plan on tanning some today too.
