I'm posting this here since I now know where to find you guys! I've recently noticed that several days after I get my vitamin b-12 shot that my hunger really increases. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you happen to know why this happens? Am I just imagining this??? Hugs, Terri

Hey Terri, I never really paid attention. I just did my b-12 last night, so will keep a mental note to notice if eating increases. I really dont get "hunger", but I'll see if I have the urge to munch more.. sure hope not. Maybe its that boost of energy some talk about after their b-12's that makes you metablize faster, thus causing hunger? I dunno, as I dont ever get that "burst" of energy from my shots LOL.. wonder if the doc gave me a dud vial of b-12? Wendy

Terri, I didn't have this happen when I was doing the shots. Is there anything else you might be doing that could trigger the hunger? Iron in vitamins can trigger hunger for some, eating more carbs are what do it for me. Hope you find an answer soon. Mary

I did speak with my surgeon since I posted this and he says I'm NOT imagining this. That some people do experience this excess hunger after getting a vitamin b-12 shot. It's one of the side effects someone may notice when taking vitamin b-12. Mine only last 2-3 days afterwards then my eating pretty much returns to normal (well what is normal for me now a days).
