What do YOU regret from WLS
I really don't have many regrets. This has done so many wonderful things for me, but I do have one that hurts.
My regret of this surgery (and perhaps it's really a blessing in disguise) is that I lost my best friend in the deal. She couldn't handle the fact that I physically changed. She actually flew down with me to be there for me during my surgery, but in less than 1 years time, she just shut me down.
So, what do you regret - or - do you?

At the risk of being labelled a Polyanish Cheerleader...
Nothing.

Tek, I don't know you very well, but something makes me suspect that few people would be tempted to label you a Pollyanish Cheerleader!!!
I suspect your comment was tongue-in-cheek.
I do appreciate your posts very much, by the way. Whether I agree with you on every point or not, your beliefs and practices regarding WLS seem to be consistently based on well-thought-out arguments and research. I respect that.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll have you completely over to the Dark Side in no time, just another conquest in my WDP (World Domination Plan)

Well, I would say that I regret not having it sooner, but that's not really true. It was the right time for me. I had to know that I had tried everything else first to have peace of mind about the decision.
I do regret not taking better advantage of my early months of rapid loss (the old-timers warned me, but I didn't listen). I think I could have knocked off another 20-30 lbs during that time if I had really been pushing the exercise, but I really took it for granted that I was losing without really trying and kinda coasted for awhile. Now it's a LOT harder to take those last 20-30 lbs off!
